My wife and I visit Newport once a year. We found Jo’s several years ago and go back every year. It is a hidden gem and a favorite with the locals. We love the food and the great, friendly service.

Matt Rose did an outstanding job running plates to and from our table, and keeping things running smoothly and peofessionally.

The lobster carbonara was superb! A very good place with an even better service. And its musical ambientation is terrific! It’s located near Main Street but not too near to be as crowded. One of my favorite places to eat in Newport.

Standard, nothing fantastic. Basic thick clam chowder, no frills, more dressing in wedge salad than anything else, fries with sandwiches meh. Fried fish in sandwich was best part of the night; drinks were slow (even mocktails), beer wasn't ice cold... overall disappointing given the decent reviews. May have ordered the wrong items

Go to Jo’s! Local feel, fresh, delicious food and friendly staff who care about whether you are having a good time. Get the fish and chips - best on the island!

Have eaten here multiple times and the menu description is way better than the actual served food. Calamari was just plain, mussels were nothing special and all our dinners were just plain good. Drinks are interesting but small. I should probably go for a burger or sandwich.

Dog friendly restaurants are few here in Newport on an outside patio OfCourse. This was a great choice and would eat here again. Service was wonderful.
