    We visited joeys last night and had a less-than-ideal experience, primarily due to the service. We had specifically booked a booth, but the one we were given was tucked away in a far corner. While there seemed to be plenty of available space, it would have been nice to be seated in a more comfortable, spacious area—or at least been asked about our preference. Throughout our visit, no one came to check on how our food or drinks were, which felt quite disappointing. It’s a standard expectation in dining to be asked for feedback, especially when something seems off. For example, we ordered an appetizer that had an unusual taste and was not enjoyable. We ended up leaving most of it untouched. Still, no one asked if there was an issue or if we needed anything else. This could have been an opportunity to ask for feedback. The drinks we ordered were not made correctly—mine had way too much ice, which diluted the flavor. Again, no one followed up to ensure everything was to our liking. The main course was good, thankfully, but the lack of attentive service throughout the meal overshadowed the food quality. A little more effort in customer care could have significantly improved the experience.

    Excellent meal at Joey’s Bentall! Tried the cod for the first time, what a delicious dinner. I will be back just for the cod! The kids shared a cheeseburger and hubby had the katsu chicken salad, always delicious. The restaurant was busy, pre hockey game crowd. Our waiter Thomas G, was a star! He added to an already great meal, he was attentive in all the right ways, with a smile and a sense of humour.

    We arrived in time for happy hour. The food was good and the server friendly. It was just what we wanted. The room was very nicely decorated and comfortable.

    All eight meals were delicious, great choices, and options for vegetarian. Place was near full with good vibe and music was pleasant and not loud so we could speak amongst the whole table. Prompt and friendly service. Meals came out quickly and we were able to finish in an hour and head to our event.

    Restaurant was “overbooked” and we had to wait a long time for a table. Staff graciously offered a free glass of sparkling wine to help pass the time

    Blacken chicken warm potato salad is so delicious and creative. Service slow but it is holiday Office lunch time and food came out hot.

    Our small group of three absolutely enjoyed our meal at Joey Bentall One. Two delicious Chicken Clubs and one Sushi dish. The prices seemed fair and in line. The service by Rachel T was very professional and she was full of food recommendations and her personality was so positive. My only constructive criticism would be on check in at reception. A huge lunch line up and the reception is on iPads searching for your reservation and table selection. I think the method of check in needs to be streamlined, other than that, I recommend Joeys.
