Stone Crab

Fresh stone crabs are found in the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico. They are hand harvested, one claw at a time, and thrown back to the sea. Joe Weiss, and his wife Jennie, discovered this unknown delicacy in the early 1920s, and soon after, began serving them at their restaurant in Miami Beach. Hello i actually really enjoy myself me and my significant other. However, this time in which we came on 9/5/24 @ 5pm this is our reservation, my husband ordered surf and turf steak and a 10-ounce lobster and he never got the lobster however we did pay for it. We didn't realize it until we got home because the steak was so good we forgot about it however the guy missed giving us our lobster but we definitely were charged for it

There’s nothing that gives me more joy than writing a good review for a restaurant but unfortunately this is not the case. The restaurant is beautiful but there is no management involvement for the level they aim for. Let’s start with the front desk where a gentleman is watching videos on his phone leaning on the desk when we arrived. It’s not busy so why not, right? For my birthday I was given a wonderful table but it was for 6 people and very awkward for our party of 2. The service staff couldn’t reach so they all night was in the name of passing dishes and glassware. Food was delicious, from the stone crab to the Chilean seabass. Too bad for the “famous” grilled tomatoes, they were something you expect from a kid experimenting in the kitchen with kraft cheese and microwave. But we replaced them with asparagus and they were great. Service was lacking from almost all aspects. Timing, finesse and attentiveness were not part of our experience and we felt rushed. The cherry on the cake was when the server served my birthday dessert with candle while my partner was in the restroom. I was shocked and I had to ask him to leave the lighter so I was going to replicate the celebration once she came back. It was the most inhospitable experience I have experienced and there was no apologies for it. A $300 check and a restaurant removed from the map on my end. No thank you!

What an absolute dream of an evening. From the welcoming staff to the delightful server, Jeffrey, our dinner was beautifully prepared and served. The Dover sole is a real treat and of course the steaks are always consistently amazing. Attentive yet unobtrusive, the service is impeccable.

Our server, Diaz, was excellent. The food, especially the large stone crabs, was expensive but worth it, even if it was only an occasional indulgence. We've never had better creamed spinach or lyonnaise potatoes. Overall a wonderful night out.

Everything was spot on from the stone crab claws to the steak and lobster. Service was great as well. Will definitely come back when in the area again!
