When I first arrived, there was no one at the host stand I had to walk around and look for someone. After I checked in, I was not offered to check my coat I had to ask. The waiter seem to have a bad attitude. A lot of my party didn’t arrive, but that should not have been reflected in my service. I was there for a birthday. It was noted in the initial reservation that we were there for cake. No one reached out to let us know the rules about ordering a full cake in advance, which was disappointing. I guess I’m glad I did not order a full cake because the slice I took home with me was totally soggy. I ended up throwing it away . There were no tickets for parking validation and the host that was there when I left said that the parking attendant would give me the discount he did not. I paid full price so that was also disappointing. I ordered a roll of sushi and two desserts, one to go and want to enjoy at the restaurant . The chocolate soufflé tasted burnt and I was really disappointed to see that the plate was not decorated nor did the waiter wish me happy birthday. My whole experience felt rushed as if they wanted me to hurry up and leave. When I was leaving and trying to retrieve my coats and parking validation, the hostess, there seemed really bothered by my presence and the fact that she had to do her job. This will be my last trip to this location.

Celebrated our 24th anniversary and first time visiting Joe Muers Seafood. What an experience! We had dinner reservations f or 5pm and were seated at a corner table with a great window view. Food and service was excellent! We ordered the rack lamb and Alaskan salmon with noodles cream sauce - amazing! There old fashion was perfect. View was amazing to Canada side and we could not ask for anything more. Definitely worth a special occasion.

Great first-time experience attending this establishment for our anniversary. The food, service, value, and ambience were fantastic and contributed to our great experience. The noise level was a little loud which may have contributed to other guests having to speak louder, adding to the overall sound level. Besides that, fantastic experience and will be recommending Joe Muer to family and friends!

As always, an amazing experience. My eight year old son and I were treated like darn near royalty. Marvin was an excellent server and I hope we get him every time we dine. See you guys on Wednesday!

Very poor service. Restaurant was not that busy. Repeated requests for refills went - unfilled. Also made two requests to lower the blinds as the sun was cooking our guests. Never lowered the blinds, great food, just poor service.

We had reservations for my wife’s birthday. We got there at 7:30, we were not greeted by a nice staff. Hostess was so rude. We had a baby sitter so we were on a strict time. We kept asking when our table will be ready. And finally we got seated 20 mins later. We got to our table silverware was so dirty. We wanted to leave but the issue was the $50 each charge for not keeping our reservation. Our waitress did not address us well. This is our second time coming in and it will be our last. I do not recommend coming here. There is a lot of other restaurants in downtown Detroit that is more accommodating, friendly, better service.
