Artistically designed with unique sculptures, Javier's Crystal Cove provides guests with ocean views in a cozy, contemporary atmosphere to enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. It opened its doors in 2008 on Newport Beach and is conveniently close to the Crystal Cove Shopping Center. This restaurant offers guests an upscale dining experience with such entrees as the Maine lobster enchilada topped with Monterey jack cheese and grilled chicken breasts braised in chipotle sauce. Javier's Crystal Cove serves a variety of fresh seafood dishes, appetizers and delicious desserts. It has a full bar that features numerous tequilas, cocktails, beers and wine. Javier's Crystal Cove also offers outdoor dining. It accepts reservations over the phone and online.

This restaurant is way overpriced. We set up a birthday dinner or seated close to the front door so you felt like you never really were welcomed into a restaurant. The service was very good. They are a hard-working team. The food was pretty good but had questionable results. Specifically, I ordered the scallops, but not all of them were cooked fully. for what I ate, it was delicious, but the rest of the scallops my husband tried, and it was disgustingly undercooked. The side of corn was delicious and my husband‘s chicken mole had great flavor, but the onion and garlic stayed with him for two days. I ordered their primo margarita and it was 100% tequila which many people would like, but I had to order a side of mixer and juice to be able to drink it. We would try it again if it wasn’t so damn expensive.

Every time we’re in the area, we visit Javier’s try the mole, chicken poblano, and the trio of seafood enchiladas. You won’t be sorry!

We had a lovely time at Javier’s. Food was fantastic. Cocktail was well prepared and the ambiance and beauty of the ocean facing interior was fantastic.

The waiter we had was told that I was deaf in one hear and hard of hearing in the other... after I asked him to repeat himself 3 times, he responded, maybe I can talk to someone next to me and they could tell me what was said. My steak was supposed to be cooked medium rare.. it came out with NO pink.. it was med well... I asked to have it redone. I was told it would take about 30 minutes to get another one... I wasn't happy. He recommended that I just eat that one so I would not have to wait to eat with my guests... a dinner that was $280 should have a much better outcome than we had....

Hostesses were too busy talking to acknowledge that we were standing in front of them waiting to be seated. The ambiance was amazing and food and drinks were great. Rarely saw the server and they never acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday

Cold plate… mildly warm food… food delicious.. noise unbearable couldn’t even talk at our table. Waitress poor at best

The noise level is Beyond!!! Could NOT hear the person sitting directly in front of me without SHOUTING. Also, the music choice is Raucous with the same boom.boom.boom beat thruout the evening. The food is tasty But expensive as are the cocktails. The restaurant is Huge which does Not help the noise level. There does Not seem to be any sound barriers. This was a SUNDAY NIGHT at 5pm.....OMG

It’s a very nice place in a great location. The service is good and very friendly. The food is ok but not worth the price.
