Restaurants in Alsace traditionally have a formal main dining room as well as a casual dining room known locally as a weinstube or brasserie. At the brasserie, diners may enjoy traditional, hearty Alsatian dishes in a warm and relaxing atmosphere. These friendly establishments are immensely popular with Alsatians and visiting them is always the best part of my trips back to Alsace. I opened Jacques' Brasserie at L'Auberge Chez François to bring the tastes and comforts of the Alsatian brasserie to Great Falls.

    Went there to celebrate our 30th anniversary. We sat outside as it was tolerable with the fans going. Food as always was excellent and the service was great. Waiter did not rush us or check in too frequently.

    The food and service was great. The only vice I have is that I made this reservation 6 days prior and asked for a quiet table by a window or wall. Yet the only table available was right by the entryway to the restaurant which is the clear opposite of what I asked for. I even arrived a little early for my reservation. Super annoying because it seemed like no effort was even made to consider my request. I was offered a table outside. In 100 degree heat?? Really??

    Arrived around 4:05 for 4:30 dinner reservation. Was informed that staff was on lunch break and was sent back to car until 4:30(They offered that we could walk around in 95 degree heat if we wanted to but being in our 70's decided it wasn't a good idea). Upon being seated, small flying bugs were all over us (fruit flies perhaps?) so we asked to be moved to another table. Even there, Bugs still landed in my wife's wine and my water. Left with a bad taste in our mouths but only consolation, food was good. Maybe it will be better in wintertime!

    Another wonderful dining experience at Jacques" Brasserie. Drinks perfectly made, bread delicious, salad very good, beef entree outstanding, and creme brulee exquisite. This restaurant never disappoints and we highly recommend it.

    Exceptional - Jacques and its sister upstairs L'Auberge come with high expectations ... it is rare that a restaurant can consistently live up to these expectations (and I am a critic) ... but every time I go, I am amazed by the consistency of service and quality of food options & preparation. Dinner was amazing!

    A delightful experience all around and the food was wonderful! Nice touch bringing us a small desert for my birthday!
