Le Jacmel Inn a ouvert en juin 1977, après six mois de rénovation de l’ancienne résidence construite en 1888. Réparti sur 2 étages, cet établissement dispose d'un terrain de 0,8 hectare, et se trouve à 9 pâtés de maisons du centre historique d’Hammond. Véritable oasis culinaire grâce à ses paysages verdoyants, sa nouvelle terrasse et on grand parking, le Jacmel Inn est à 96 km de La Nouvelle-Orléans. Le menu a évolué au fil des ans. Cependant, le restaurant utilise toujours des fruits de mer frais de Louisiane, des techniques de cuisine et des plats provenant de la culture traditionnelle de Louisiane. Vous pourrez également déguster de succulents steaks de bœuf nourri au maïs de l’Iowa. Le chef exécutif Doyle Orlando crée le menu, qui change en fonction des saisons. Le souper accompagné de vins artisanaux est très populaire depuis 20 ans. Profitez d'une ambiance des Caraïbes, nautique et d’auberge de la Nouvelle-Angleterre. The rear parking lot off of Thomas St. (Hwy 190) can handle 30 cars and customers can access the front door via a brick walkway through the cane landscaping.

    As always, my visits at Jacmel are great! Love the atmosphere, food was cooked to perfection, and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

    It was a rainy Saturday night my family and I had the best service with our waiter,Cameron. He made excellent suggestions for the appetizers. The bread board was wonderful,and the deviled eggs were the best ! My steak was perfect,and my daughter’s seafood gnocchi was excellent . Will definitely be back !

    Maybe the day after Christmas wasn’t the best time to visit. At least light the candles on the table and fill the salt and peppers to above 10%?

    My wife and I have been coming to this restaurant over the last few years. We have enjoyed ourselves, the food and the ambience. Tonight was different…We are not sure what the expectation is. Is the theme Tapas or regular dishes? My lamb shank was excellent, and the Eggplant appetizer however, my wife’s dish the drum was very, very small and not very tasty with bloodline. please offer bread to the table without the charge… we will come back, just trying to offer feedback

    We have been to Jacmel in excess of 100 times over the last 20 plus years. Unfortunately, the quality of the food has declined, and over the last few visits, it has drastically declined. We typically spend over $200.00 per visit. I have never sent a meal back in all my restaurant experiences, even when the food is not cooked to order. However, last night, we were with a group of people, and they requested my meal to be sent back—even though I personally wouldn’t have said anything. I ordered my steak rare, as I always do, but it was served well done. We do not mind paying good money for a great experience and high-quality food. Our servers have always been excellent, and Karl (not sure if it’s spelled with a “C” or a “K”) has consistently been a pleasure to have as our waiter. At this point, I’m unsure when—or if—we will return to Jacmel, given the bad food experiences we’ve had during our last few visits.
