Jack Stack Barbecue originated in Kansas City in 1957, by Russ Fiorella in a traditional storefront barbecue, with a modest selection of 5 or 6 items. Jack Fiorella, the eldest son, worked with his father until 1974 when he decided to branch off and start Fiorella's Jack Stack of Martin City.

The service and staff were great but the bbq was not good. The burnt ends were almost entirely fat and inedible. The beef ribs were also very fatty. The chicken chili was very good, but didn’t make up for the bbq.

Ordered burnt end dinner for $20+. Burnt ends were 50% fat and very greasy and were not "burnt" or charred at all, just chopped briscuit. Really disappointing.

We had a great experience as the food was delicious and our waiter was attentive and nice. The Mac & cheese with brisket was creamy and perfect while the sampler platter we shared did not disappoint. Will be coming back soon!

Food was piping hot and the waiter, Chase, was excellent. We had a large party and he was attentive but not over bearing. Would definitely recommend.
