Le J. Gilbert's est un steakhouse chic et décontracté servant du bœuf faisandé cuit sur un gril au feu de bois de mesquite.     Have eaten here for years and this is the first time I haven't rated our experience with all 5 stars. The wedge salad was the core of the lettuce head, with no green leaves. My pork chop was overcooked and difficult to cut. The waiter forgot to bring water and left before taking a drink order from one of our party. Very disappointing visit!

    It was freezing cold in the restaurant. A disappointment for a big year end meeting with our team. I usually am a big fan of this venue.

    One of my best dining experiences ever. We had a large (8) family holiday gathering: every dish was composed of high quality ingredients perfectly prepared, and each was served with faultless timing. Definitely at the top of my list for special occasion dining in KC!
