Le restaurant J. Gilbert est un steakhouse chic et décontracté qui vous sert du bœuf vieilli de première qualité cuit sur un grill au feu de bois de mesquite. Everything was top notch and new design to menu. We both ordered the Block Island Swordfish. it was a lovely presentation and everything tasted great. We began with the calamari lightly breaded and delicious dipping sauces. We finished up with expresso and carrot cake. The ambiance soft and quiet and just an overall great dinner experience.

Food and service was outstanding, however the noise level was rather loud. We will continue to dine there.

The service was good. We ordered rack of lamb with side dishes. The spinach was salty enough to effect the overall taste of the rest of the meal. A supervisor brought out a new portion, but we refused it. There were several loudly laughing and boisterous customers in the restaurant. They too, effected our enjoyment of the meal. This was unfortunate, we eat at J. Gilberts regularly and this was probably the worst experience we've ever had.

The chicken tortilla soup was amazing in not only taste but presentation! Could have made dinner with JUST that! Everything else was also delicious!
