You have reserved a true traditional Japanese experience floor seating (with no well under the table for legs). Remove your shoes, and take a step onto our tatami room. A garden window view completes this unique dining experience. This is a unique experience, but it can be challenging for those with limited flexibility. Please let us know in advance if you need to change these reservations, as we will not be able to offer other options upon arrival. Children under 10 are not recommended.

Izanami was 10/10! Had heard wonderful things about it, and it exceeded all expectations! The food was INSANELY DELICIOUS, and the biggest sake list I’ve ever seen (heavenly)! You can’t go wrong with a single item on the menu. Plus the vibe was unreal, wish I could live in this place!

This was an excellent if unusual choice to celebrate Valentines Day. We are glad we made the decision. Every dish was excellent and the presentation beautiful. We ate inside in the main dining room which added a bit of "Drama" to the meal. The only thing that could have been better was the heat in the room. I was chilly but they provided a blanket for my wife which worked well. We will certainly be back!!

My husband and I went for Lunch and really enjoyed it. The food was excellent and the ambiance was very nice.

Lovely visit to this beautiful place. Liked the open kitchen. Saki menu was extensive. I do wish they had someone available to help with selection. The waitress was nice but didn’t instill confidence in her knowledge in that area. Food and presentation were both VERY good.

My favorite spot in Santa Fe. From the food to the ambience and service, not to mention the location, decor and the incredible sake menu!

Food was delicious. Ambiance, property and Restaurant seating options felt like being in Japan. The experience was memorable. After dinner I recommend visiting the main gift shop

The food was (as always) excellent. And we truly appreciate the low noise level, which makes it possible to actually have a conversation. Our service was problematic last night, which is unusual for Izanami. The restaurant was not full but our waitress spent the majority of her time chatting animatedly with a couple at one table; maybe she knew them? At any rate, while our first five plates arrived promptly, There was a 20 minute gap between the majority of our food arriving and the arrival of the final dish: the pork belly. We tried valiantly to get our waitress's attention, but to no avail. She was having too much fun chatting with the people in their bathrobes.

Great service from Joe and team. Food was great. Some flavors were a little mild on the ceviche and fresh wasabe for example. I would not bother with the fresh wasabe at all. Drinks were great.
