Food was decent. Oyster Rockefeller was a bit disappointing with its flavors, shrimp aquachillies was delish, lobster roll was ok. The lighting sucks, so dark, can’t see the food really. Such a pretty restaurant and just left you in the dark with a tiny lamp light on your table.

Great place! Happy hours here are amazing! Oysters, octopus, fish and chips, clam chowder and sweet potatoes- all these food was amazing. Japanese sweet potatoes is must try here. Service was prompt and attentive. mai tai cocktail is super boozy but delicious. Good non alcoholic cocktails options. The only thing I would add is indicating gluten free dishes on the menu, I did not see that on their happy hour menu. Overall great place for seafood and especially happy hours.

My wife and I have been to Ironside many times. We feel that the quality of food has been going down and the prices are getting unjustifiably high, so the quality/price ratio is off. For raw seafood, Crudo down the street on India offers more delectable dishes at a lower price. Also, I don't like it when the waiter/waitress brings the check before asking if we would like anything else. Tonight, we received the bill, before we had a chance to order dessert.

Overall Ironside Fish & oyster was an enjoyable experience. Having a reservation is a must. While we were seated quickly the wait for our server to take our drink and initial food orders was substantial. It is a busy location but the amount of time we waited seems excessive. Once we started ordering though, service was quite prompt. Cocktails were tasty and strong. The drinks from the menu come out looking exactly as they’re pictured to include the choice of glassware. Their Bloody Mary was perfectly spiced. Their Ghostwriter (old fashioned) was super tasty. The Kumamoto oysters were worth the slight upcharge. The shrimp aguachile was good but needed salt, spice and citrus. The rockfish ceviche and crudo were both a little disappointing. The star of the meal was the octopus a la plancha. Perfectly cooked and tender. The Ironsides bread and clam chowder were excellent as well. The experience and the little details in the dining room added to the ambiance. All in al It was pleasurable, but for the price I’d have preferred more attention paid to seasoning.

Food was overpriced and not very good. Lobster roll was greasy. Also the peel and eat shrimp were small for the price. Server was great and super nice. Probably the only positive.

I went during happy hour, food was good. Shell bits were all over the oysters which made them unpleasant to eat.

We were celebrating my daughter’s big birthday and after checking in or saying it was her bday to our server there was no acknowledgement. Our server was pleasant but was just going through the motions versus higher level of service. The seafood tower platter was delicious, the oysters and ceviche were amazing! The cocktails were tasty too. The entrees needed work. The shrimp lo mein was salty, the wahoo could have been spectacular but it was overcooked and for a seafood restaurant, that’s seems to be unacceptable. The steamed clams in garlic lemongrass sauce was flavorful. Based on the entree experience, we decided to pass on dessert and go elsewhere. I’m thinking next time, just get cocktails and the oysters and call it a night. Enjoyed the ambiance of the establishment.

We ordered lobster and tuna sashimi called "Bone Marrow." The lobster was tasteless and dry. The "Bone Marrow" was effectively that. A smidgen of tuna lying inside a length of a lengthwise cut large bone. I couldn't see the point and it was not very good. The mixology was very good but, all in all, the service was mediocre. Not recommended.

Seguramente ibamos con muy altas expectativas por la clasificación de Opentable, pero la comida la verdad estuvo mediocre y el pescado local muy malo, la clam chowder y el lobster roll buenos.. Lo mejor es el lugar decoración y ambiente
