A popular appetizer at INTI NYC Restaurant is the ceviche mixto, which includes shrimp, calamari, octopus, and fresh fish chunks that is marinated in lime juice. It is served with baby corn and sweet potatoes. The ceviche de corvina is similar with just the fresh fish chunks. Peruvian style seafood soup makes a great starter. Don’t forget to order the chica morado, a traditional Peruvian drink made from purple corn and finish with tres leches cake for dessert.

This is not only the best Peruvian food I've had, it's some of the best seafood I've ever had in NYC! It became an instant favorite. My seafood favorites include the Ceviche Mixto, Jalea (mixed fried seafood), Mero Inti (sea bass w/ mango sauce), and my all-time favorite, the Corvina a Lo Macho. The chicken and beef dishes are also excellent, too. All the dishes are meticulously created, the portions are generous, and the pisco sours are absolutely delicious, or enjoy Chicha Morada, a traditional non-alcoholic drink made from purple corn.

Our party of 7 had a great time here on a Saturday evening, pre-show. It was quiet and unpretentious and the food was absolutely delicious.

Inti offered a glimpse of Peruvian flavors, but ultimately, the experience fell short of a rush-back kind of night. While the papa rellena and pisco sour were undeniable highlights - crispy, golden, and bursting with flavor in the former, and a refreshing classic in the latter - the main courses left something to be desired. The Yuca a la Huancaína was a decent rendition of a classic dish, but the Huancaína sauce lacked its characteristic fiery kick. Similarly, the Aji de gallina was a tad too timid, missing the punchy heat and bold saltiness that defines this beloved Peruvian comfort food. The heavy creaminess also weighed it down a bit. My friend's Salmon en Salsa de Quinoa fared better, showcasing a delicious quinoa sauce, but the overcooked salmon was a slight letdown. The atmosphere also didn't quite live up to the "intimate" description from other reviews I've seen. The bright lighting, loud music, and overpowering deodorizer created a rather jarring contrast to the cozy ambiance I was expecting. Overall, Inti delivered on some dishes, but the inconsistencies and underwhelming atmosphere make it a one-time visit for now.
