Il Posto Trattoria is a quaint restaurant located at the north end of the city, in the beautiful Napa Valley. We specialize in traditional Italian cuisine with ingredients from Italy and locally grown.
Il Posto provides a warm, comfortable and non pretentious atmosphere with a variety of food options for all ages alike. Walking into Il Posto is like walking into a Trattoria in Rome or Venice, yet it is here in the Incredible Napa Valley! Our menu includes a variety of salads and house made pastas, in both small and large portions. We serve rustic pizzas and classic Italian dishes like Chicken Picatta, Ravioli and Veal Saltimboca. Charming and cozy inside! Amazing service by Tania! Professional and so friendly The food was so fresh and tasty..!!! The Arancini ad the fried olives were delicious. The pizza .. thin crust was so yummy 👏👏👏👏 The Italian wines .. a must!! Do not miss the Panna Cotta with the strawberry coulis. Do not miss this place …A GEM 🙏❤️

I ordered chicken Parmesan. It was dry, with the sauce burnt / baked on to the top of the meat - like it had been left under a heat lamp too long. And it was served cold. The pasta that it was served on was flavorless. I ate 1/4 of the dish and honestly, it was inedible. I didn’t want to say anything to the server and ruin our guest’s experience, so I did not complain in that moment. Both my husband and niece enjoyed what they ordered - the special of the evening. And we have always been big fans of this restaurant. I was really disappointed. Will hesitate to return any time soon.

It’s an authentic and charming Italian restaurant! The service was amazing! Excellent food with fresh and tasty products with very raisonnable prices. We enjoyed the calamari for the appetizers and for the main course the Al denté pasta.. delicious! Do not miss the Panna Cotta for the dessert… a must! A fantastic dinner …

Always very comfortable and the food is amazing. We always ask our wonderful waiter for his recommendations and he has always been spot on. He is great! For sure a hidden gem!

Although it's not in the heart of downtown Napa, this neighborhood gem is worth a short drive north. The food is excellent and very authentic. We had the lasagna, the ravioli, and the gnocchi. All are in house made pastas with excellent flavors. Portions are generous, so come with a good appetite. Traditional Italian desserts and a great wine list (and full bar) with lots of local favorites. Staff are very friendly and helpful on suggestions, both wine and food. Don't miss this if you're coming to Napa!
