This was my first time visiting Il Porto. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and the food was great. However, my only complaint would be the noise level. I attended on a Jazz Night and the patrons I was seated beside were very loud, thus making it difficult to hear or appreciated the live jazz music. If I were to attend this event again, I would ask to be seated closer to the stage to alleviate some of the noise level.

Il Porto was a wonderful Italian place for dinner. The restaurant was classic and brought a romantic setting. The service was slightly slow but our server was wonderfully attentive and even brought extra bread for us to take home. The window seats while adorable, and I loved people watching, were very cold. Overall my wife and I would highly recommend.

The ambiance on New Year’s Eve 2025 was lively and cheery. Service wasn’t fast but certainly acceptable and impressive given the big crowd. The food itself was solid. If you’ve ever eaten at Ralph’s or Cucina Maria in South Philly, you’ll judge it a cut below that. A very good meal but not great, which means the value for money wasn’t great. I’ve had better Italian for a smaller bill. It was a pleasant family experience with no regrets, but I’m not sure I’d return.

Shattered mussel shells and mussel beard were in my risotto. Almost cut my mouth open and it tasted off. Also wasn’t given bread until asked
