We are big fans of Lettuce Entertain You restaurants, gold members. We’ve been to Il Porcellino a few times over the years, never thinking the food was very good, an outlier for Lettuce. We wanted to give it another try, as it had been a few years. We got the cheesy bread, scooping salad, gnocchi and papardelle. The cheesy bread came with one tiny thing of sauce, but the server brought us two more on request, without the sauce the bread was incredibly boring and tasteless. The scoozi salad was ok, but nothing special. The gnocchi was WAY overcooked, felt like mush flour in my mouth, I couldn’t finish it. The papardelle was fine. The server never came to ask how our meals were, and when he came to take our plates, he asked if I wanted a to go box and I said no, inviting him to ask me how it was, but he didn’t react. I don’t think we will be giving this restaurant another chance at this point.

Our experience dining at Il Porcellino was incredible from the word go! The ambiance and vibe was lively and energetic. The specialty cocktails were tasty and creative. Our service was attentive, professional, and personable. But, the food…good gawd do I wish I had the room in my stomach for a second helping of that lasagna. It was without a doubt one of the best lasagnas we’ve ever had. The 4 of us left feeling extremely satisfied, impressed, and looking forward to our next visit. Thank you, Il Porcellino!

We sat at the bar and enjoyed a great meal. Love anyplace that has Montepulciano by the glass. It’s tougher to find where I live. Bar staff were attentive despite being super busy. Gnocchi was light and sauce was amazing.

Ana G was attentive and the service was great. I would have preferred the high top table near the window that I thought I reserved but Ana made up for the experience. The food was good, the drinks were slow. Playlist always delights even though the noise level overall can seem deafening. Will be back. It’s one of my favorite Lettuce Entertain You restaurants!

Il Porcellino is a casual, comfortable Italian bistro. The food is great, the service is attentive, and the atmosphere is relaxed. We had the garlic loaf, calamari, Italian salad, and gnocchi with bolognese. The calamari came with a delicious spicy puttenesca sauce. The Italian salad, which one would normally not get excited about, was fantastic. Would highly recommend it!

Brian was a great server. Enjoyed the garlic bread too bad it only came with butter not olive oil. Pasta was good as was chicken Try the Homers spumoni too Will definitely return

Great dining experience with an old school Italian American flare, you’re in the Fiume Nord (river north) but could easily be in Chicago’s or New York’s little Italy. Bustling space by 6 pm even on a Sunday night. Rat pack, Louis prima et al. Our server Lin was / is fantastic. Knowledge, professional, engaging, attentive, clearly experienced. And the support staff was seamless and unobtrusive while providing great service. As a service professional I appreciate a seasoned pro who guides, recommends, and makes the experience even better. I’ll recommend it to everyone and we’ll be back. Veni vidi vici!

It was amazing. The atmosphere, food , waiter was outstanding . The asst. manager Kathy was so nice. She really went out of her way to make my birthday special. We will always come back here !!!!
