Garlic bread to start is amazing. Food is very reasonably priced for Chicago. The atmosphere was great as well.

I booked table for 3 persons, however we were invited to a small table in the bar. The table was too small to have dinner, and located aside of the entrance. We had hard time to endure the noise and to put the dishes plates and wineglass on the small table. Overall food and other services are good but I was very disappointed with the small table in spite of reservation.

First timers to il Porcellino. Just the two of us for my husband’s birthday . We ran a little late due to traffic. I called and they held our table with no problems. Open windows facing the street for people watching. Old time Italian ambiance with Chianti bottle and lights hanging from the ceiling. EXCELLENT service by Lynn. Food was delicious. MUST get the garlic bread. Worth every penny. The two of us ate it and would have had more! Italian salad perfect for two or three to share. Seven layer lasagna was also layered with the perfect herbs and seasonings. Gnocchi bolognese was very good, although I would have liked the gnocchi to be a bit lighter. Didn’t have time for dessert as we had to get to a show. HIGHLY recommend coming here for dinner. Just a few blocks over the river from the theater district.
