Benvenuto! Depuis plus de 28 ans, Il Cielo Gardens Restaurant & Bar a apporté « le ciel » à Beverly Hills. Souvent appelé « le restaurant le plus romantique de Los Angeles », cet établissement est bien plus qu'un simple restaurant italien. C'est un monument. We arrived on time for our reservation at 8:45 p.m., only to find a line of 25 people at the door. They informed us that this was the line for people with reservations. After waiting for about 20 minutes, we were finally checked in at 9:05 p.m. and directed to the bar next door. We waited for an extended period, watching as others were called ahead of us. At 9:50 p.m., just as my fiancé and I were about to leave, the young receptionist lady asked for my name and quickly ushered us back to her side. We were given a table without silverware and a burnt-out candle with stains on the tablecloth. I understand that Valentine’s Day can be a challenging time for restaurants, but this experience was unacceptable, especially considering the $500 upfront charge for the package. I felt disappointed and taken advantage of, especially since we had paid in advance. The only reason we stayed was because we had paid in advance, which now makes sense and feels like a scam. I will never return to this restaurant and have learned my lesson. What a poorly managed and wasteful experience. Oh, and by the way, we didn’t receive our food until 11:15 p.m. We finally left at almost midnight. This was a complete letdown and a waste of 3.5 hours.

Everything, as usual was great, except my steak. I requested medium rare and it ended up being medium.

Such beautiful atmosphere! I went for my 5 year anniversary and I absolutely loooved it. Delicious food and great service - made for a memorable night out!

Food and service were excellent. Large group at the next table was drunk and loud, detracting from the enjoyment. The porcini risotto was exquisite as was the bucatini amatriciana. The branzino and the filet were expertly prepared. Waiter was intuitive, thoughtful, solicitous without being intrusive!
