We made reservations, which made selecting a good table by the window easier. The server promptly took our drinks orders so we could take advantage of the last few minutes of Happy Hour, which was kind. Three of us had the fesh halibut with a pineapple relish served on fragrant rice with a bed of lightly sautéed kale. The fish was well prepared and moist. We found the menu to offer a good selection of food, and the service and ambience were pleasant. I have stayed near the restaurant many times but never eaten here. I will be back!

Decent beach spot. Food is C Minus It’s too bad that places like this don’t have to be good. They will always be busy. The food just needs more love.

We are a family of four, with two young boys and a special needs four year old. The service was outstanding! Our hostess was kind and helpful. The waiter was very friendly and patient. And our food was simply delicious. Ideal Bar & Grill is 100 percent kid friendly, with a beautiful interior and a stunning view. 5 stars! We are definitely coming back.

Great casual spot right at the corner of the beach and wharf. Food was good and reasonably priced given the portion sizes, quality, and ambiance. Hit the spot after a busy day at the beach and good kids meal options. Get the mile high mud pie--was HUGE and plenty for four people to share.

Had read some negative reviews previously, but my family and I were not disappointed. We went on Memorial Day weekend and had our frenchie with us. Ideal was able to accommodate us on the patio area, which the weather was perfect for. Started off with a dozen raw oysters with horseradish sauce and marinara which was amazing! I had a craft beer similar to a Corona but can’t remember the name sorry. My two daughters ordered from the kids menu, my oldest had a chowder bowl, my younger daughter had penne pasta with cheese sauce. I had salmon with horseradish mashers and my wife had the seafood kabob plate. All of the food was amazing and the service awesome as well. We will definitely be going back on future visits.
