Hy's Steakhouse applique une politique de code vestimentaire strict. Chemise à col et chaussures fermées sont obligatoires. Les maillots de bain ou les casquettes sont interdites. Hy's Steak House est un restaurant primé au cœur de Waikiki. Ouvert en 1976, Hy's est un favori des locaux et des visiteurs depuis près de 40 ans. Les spécialités de Hy's comprennent le boeuf qualité USDA Kiawe, l'agneau succulent, les fruits de mer, ainsi que des préparations de nombreux plats classiques. Hy's jouit d'une liste exquise de vin avec un accent sur les rouges des vignobles les plus réputés du monde entier. L'ambiance vieux monde est classique et très confortable.     We always make Hy’s our stop when we are in town. It’s always consistent all around and full of good memories.

    My family and I just can’t imagine a Hawaii vacation without a night at Hy’s. Hy’s sets the bar for Service and they set it high. The all-wood interior maintains a high level of class and decor that may mimicked by other steakhouses, but cannot be copied. It’s because Hy’s has amazing, perfectly prepared steaks, great people, and a style all its own.

    Hy's has impeccable service. Vince and Trevor were great servers. Food: Poached shrimp were slightly over cooked. Crabcake had great flavor but was somewhat dry. Spinach salad was very tart ... way too much red wine in the dressing and the bacon was a hidden secret left undiscovered. Beef Wellington was great and cooked to perfection. The filet was cooked to order (medium rare, plus) but lacked the firmness that you would expect in a quality steak. Cutting the steak was a "gummy" experience ... no texture. The mashed potatoes were unremarkable (something like a creamier wasabi or garlic mashed potato would have been a plus). Banana Foster and gelato were excellent. The price/value proposition is simply not there. Hy's is obviously a nesting place for the generations of local business owners and executives who have been gathering there for many years. While the atmosphere is inviting and elegant, the quality of the food leaves a lot to be desired. My wife and I travel throughout the world and have been to many upscale restaurants throughout the years. Even a local Merriman's, Rigo, Mara or Istanbul has better quality and consistency ... especially considering the price point. Mama's Fish House reigns supreme in Hawaii. Looks' like it's back to Ruth's Chris for us in the future.

    Service was amazing - waitress “T” was knowledgeable and professional - best experience all year. We went for our 33rd wedding anniversary and couldn’t have been happier. Highly recommend Hy’s for any special occasion!

    Got seated 30 minutes late. Disappointing. Daughter had lei, server asked and we said college graduation. No recognition. Valet could not find our key . Our daughter had to come and give us the spare. They said they will call us if they cannot find our key and insurance will contact us. Not the usual wonderful Hy’s experience we usually have…..

    Outstanding service and delicious selections. Trevor and Wolfgang made the evening memorable with their efficient yet personable service. The meal was American classics done perfectly: Oysters Rockefeller, Wedge Salad, Delmonico Steak, and Bananas Foster prepared tableside (spectacular!). We will definitely return next time we are in town.

    I made a reservation a month in advance, but on the day I was shown to the cash register at the back of the room. Moreover, because it was at the back of the restaurant, it was the worst seat in the house for mosquitoes and insects. I asked the receptionist, Luis, if we could move our seats, and he replied that we had already started eating and that it would be a nuisance to our companions, so we would not move our seats, but if there were seats available, why not show us from the beginning?I asked him why he didn't show me to my seat from the beginning if it was already taken. Luis, you are not allowed. And the steaks are not as good as Wolfgang's and Ruth's Chris. Lastly, when I ate my dessert, the spoon was chipped and cut my mouth. I told them and the manager came and apologized and asked me to leave my name and contact information before leaving. But when I got out of my seat and in front of the exit, no one came to apologize or ask for my contact information. I went out of my way to call the manager and ask what was going on and was told to write down the details on the complaint format for employees. Why do I have to write it down before I leave? You guys know what happened, right? Why didn't they come back to apologize at the end? Is it because we are Japanese? I am a local living in Hawaii. I will never recommend you to anyone around me in the future. I am even more disappointed when I heard that the parent company is a Japanese company. 1ヶ月前から予約したのに、当日案内されたのは１番奥のレジの前。しかも店の奥のため、蚊や虫が集まる最悪の席。日本人の名前で予約したからであろうが、我慢できずにレセプションのルイスに尋ねると、席を移動するかと聞いてくるので、すでに食事を始めてるし、同行者に迷惑がかかるので移動はしないが、なぜ席が空いているならば最初から案内しないかと聞いたら、返事もせず適当にあしらわれた。ルイス、お前は許さない。 そしてステーキもウルフギャングとルースズクリスより味は劣る。 最後にデザートを食べたら、スプーンが欠けていて口を切った。それを伝えたらマネージャーが来て謝罪し、帰る前に名前と連絡先を残してくださいと言われた。 しかし席を立って出口の前でも誰も謝罪に来ないし連絡先も聞かない。わざわざこちらから、マネージャーを呼んでどうなっているのか聞いたら社員用のクレームフォーマットに詳細を書くように言われた。帰る前になぜ私が書かないといけないのか？何があったかはお前らが分かってるだろう？なぜ最後に謝罪しに来ないのか？私達が日本人だからか？私はハワイに住むローカルです。今後は絶対に周りの人には勧めない。親会社は日本の会社だと聞いたら、さらに残念で仕方がない。

    Always impressed with their attention to their patrons, not just the servers, but entire team. Service is meticulous. Food is great. Worth the price for a special occasion.
