My food rating should be N/A because we didn't stay and order any food, because... We arrived for our reservation and were seated in the main dining room. The outdoor tables were full. The dining room is quite small, and there were 7 other diners in the room with us (We were a party of 2.). One table was 3 covers and the other was 4 covers. Service was NON-EXISTENT. We stayed for 22 minutes and during that time NOT A SINGLE SERVER, NOR EMPLOYEE VISITED OUR TABLE. A group of 4 was sitting right next to us...literally we could reach out and touch them. They rec'd their drink orders, and five minutes later their server took their dinner order. NO ONE spoke a word to us. No water, no bread, no apologies for delays, no drink order, ZIPPO. We watched the 3-top get their meals and still no one approached our table or even acknowledged our presence. (This dining room might be 20x20 in size. You can't get lost in there. We were clearly invisible.) By the way, when I made my reservation I noted that it was to celebrate a birthday. I thought that might have made a tiny difference. NOPE. It appeared that only two servers were available for the entire restaurant and that they were focused on serving the guests who were seated outside. Where was the manager? Where was ANYONE? We got up and left after sitting for 22 minutes. What a huge disappointment. This restaurant is in Upperville, VA. There is SO MUCH $ in this small enclave surrounded by horse farms and mega-estates. How can the service be that poor? Know your clientele. We wound up going to an Italian restaurant in a strip shopping center in Aldie just to get dinner after driving nearly 60 minutes from Chantilly. Absolutely will not recommend, nor try to visit again. Recommendation to ownership: Put some eyes on your operation. Miserable service.

Food was very expensive for the quality and quantity and the drinks were overpriced with our martinis not even coming close to the brim of the martini glass. My husbands pulled pork sandwich was served with such little pork it wasn’t even visible from the sides of the sandwich bun and my iceberg wedge salad had exactly 5 HALVES of cherry tomatoes (2.5 whole cherry tomatoes, really??) and the lettuce wedge was yellow and didn’t look very fresh. Very disappointing. Teens ordered the fish and chips which was a decently portioned meal considering what our meals looked like. Yes, we probably could have said something to the manager but we chose not to as we weren’t looking for comps or to have our meals remade. They should’ve been ok on the first try. Service was ok. Ambiance and location is obviously very cool looking but for what we paid for lunch for a family of 4, would most definitely look to spend our money elsewhere for better food and portions. Would likely not go back and explore other areas in Middleburg with similar ambience in the future.

It's a very nice place, I tested all the food we ordered so delicious. Will see u again with other friends. Thank you for the beast service I ever had .

Overall this place would be good to go to once but it's really not anything spectacular. The food is just okay and the service was great at first and then she never refilled our drinks. Overall it's a cool place worth going to once.

We usually eat on the patio but because of the heat we ate indoors. It was quaint and charming.

We were able to dine outside since the weather was perfect! I had the spinach and strawberry salad with added shrimp which was really good. My spouse had the French dip which he thoroughly enjoyed too. The service was great as was the ambiance. Great place for a lovely lunch!

The garden setting is welcoming and lovely. The meal was delicious - chicken piccata and steak frites were delish!! The chocolate-chocolate cake was wonderfully indulgent. Thank you!
