We love Hugo‘s! We have probably been there 20 or 30 times over the years. Last night was the first really bad experience I’ve ever had there. The food was great, but the service was terrible. They brought out the wrong dish for one member of the group. He had to wait another 15 minutes to get his salmon and the waitress had absolutely no sympathy. She never said I’m sorry, they didn’t comp the dish, did not offer free dessert, no visit from a manager. Nothing. When we asked her how long it was going to be. She said it’ll be out as soon as they’re done cooking it. Again no apology whatsoever. Very disappointed loyal customer.

The vibe is definitely a casual bar but the pricing ambitious for that setting. Service slow and not evenly paced. Oysters and desserts were good but steak and potatoes au gratin dry . Stick with oysters and desserts

We celebrated Roswell Restaurant Week 2025 here and greatly enjoyed ourselves. The value for the prix fixe dinner menu was great. The food was very yummy too! We’ll return to try the everyday menu soon!

I would like to give a better review but brunch was a little disappointing. My crab and asparagus omelette was 'ok' and I would have liked more crab than a chunk in the middle. My husband's etoufee benedict seemed to missing etoufee. Mimosas were mostly OJ. My daughter loved her bananas foster french toast. Server was OK, not very attentive. I can't say I would have brunch here again.

It was outstanding, definitely my favorite spot in Roswell. The food is amazing, the cocktails are some of the best in the town. And the service is always so good and attentive. Will definitely be back.

Hugo's has always been one of our favorite restaurants. However, last night one dish didn't make the grade. The oysters were yummy, the gumbo was very flavorful, though a little salty, as most restaurant dishes are, the jambalaya was what we expected, wonderful, inasmuch as we have ordered it in the past. However, the seafood fried platter, which was a special request--something I get EVERY time I go to Hugo's, was disappointing. This time, unfortunately, the breading was so thick I could not identify the proteins. To the restaurant's credit, it gave us a break on the price and apologized. In the past, the breading was always flaky and light--tempura-like--so perhaps it was a one night glitch. Through it all our server, Evan was AWESOME. From the beginning to the end of our meal, he was attentive, explained the special to the point we were salivating, attended to our special requests, and courteously helped us when our meal didn't meet our expectations. This is a WONDERFUL restaurant. They treated us right, but I may order something different in the future :-(
