The decor and commitment to the Alice in Wonderland theme was great. Dining room is well lit. I felt the experience was overpriced given the amount of food, quality of food, and service that was provided. We were given two trays of food and about 10-15 minutes after we had started our meal, a server returned and removed one of the trays without any explanation. I understand mistakes happen, but an explanation as to what was happening would have been nice since we had already started our meal and thought that was the food we were paying for. However, overall, the staff were friendly, the restaurant was clean, and it seems like a nice place to eat, just not for the price charged.

Ambience and service are always wonderful. Overall the food was good although the green salad was basically a huge pile of humous with a few vegetables and nothing else

Kudos to the staff, who were friendly, gracious, professional. We were there for the Alice in Wonderland tea. There were four of us, so there were two identical tiered trays for our table, plus a substantially sized pot of selected tea for each of us. Most of the items on the tiered tray were very good. An exception was some dried bread on mini-sandwiches, but even there, the sandwich fillings were fine. I admit that the tea experience was overpriced, but the setting and the ambience were far above average. Also gratifying was that the diners respected the ambience in their attire and behavior. We are very glad that we attended.

Hudson Grill is one of my very favorite places to eat. It is calm and civilized with great food, and of course, the setting is perfect. Surprisingly, they make the very best burger on the planet.

I went to the Hudson Garden Grill for my three year anniversary. We got the two mock tails, the Buffalo cauliflower starter, and split two entrées of the gnocchi and Hudson Garden Grill burger. The food was delicious, and the drinks were superb. Once the place got a little bit busier, it took a while to get the attention of our server for both refreshments and the check. Overall, the food made up for the experience, but I would have wanted the service to be a little faster.

It was very nice looking and our afternoon tea was a good value (special option for Alice in Wonderland theme at the park). But my mug came encrusted with some sort of food on the outside and there was a hair in the raspberry preserves.

This is for the tea party on Thursdays: Good service, unfortunately stale dry tea cake bread, bland cookies. But it was in no way the fault of the front of house, who were excellent. You should expect small bites but not substantial amounts, we came prepared for that but others may not. Overall a fun way to celebrate a special day at NYBG.
