Le Hondos est une destination de choix à Richmond pour déguster un excellent steak. Il vous propose une variété de morceaux de viande parfaitement vieillis, grillés à la demande et servis grésillants. Trois différentes coupes de filet mignon, du faux-filet Cowboy et du T-Bone de 680 grammes figurent au menu. Le Hondos est également spécialisé dans les fruits de mer frais, proposant d'énormes pâtés de crabe (sans aucun remplissage), des queues de homard d'Afrique du Sud et la « prise fraîche » du jour, pour n'en nommer que quelques-uns. Que ce soit une soirée romantique ou un dîner d'affaires, le Hondos surpassera à coup sûr vos attentes en matière de nourriture et de service hors pair. Le Hondos se réjouit de votre visite.

We've dined at Hondo's on more than several occasions but never a buffet. We were there just after opening, and I don't think they were quite ready. Some items on the menu were missing (shrimp and grits being one). The prime rib was nothing special. Basically, it was a $35 buffet sold for $55. Service was adequate, friendly. Hondo's can't be beat for ambience though. It's always very comfortable, cozy. Would we do the New Year's Day buffet again? No, not at that price.

For being a $76.00 steak, it was not great at all. It was tough and underseasoned. Very disappointed. The creme brulee was just shy of scrambled eggs--the worst I've ever had at Hondos. Dinner companions were satisfied with their meals (I was the only one to have steak). Took server forever to remove unused glassware and dirty dishes from table.

My wife and I celebrated our 35th anniversary. The steaks were cooked perfectly and our waiter Michael was great. Always look forward to eating at Hondos.

Hondos has become one of our favorite places to dine. The food and service have always been great. There are several menu items, and we've enjoyed everything we've tried.

This experience was not up to expectations. The fried oyster appetizer was outstanding, but the calamari appetizer was not edible. My husband had a steak which he enjoyed but my son had a seafood platter which was cold; and I had crab cakes which were also cool and not particularly good. All in all, a very disappointing experience.

My husband and I took my sister to dinner during at Hondo's during our recent visit to Richmond. We were seated in the back room as requested and the environment was calm and refined. We ordered the Sunday/Monday 3-course special and in general, were pleased with our choices - 3 oz of filet plus choice of shrimp, scallops (2 had that) or crab cake (I had that) along with a side, a soup or salad to start and dessert. The food was very good although not quite hot enough when it arrived (we did not send it back). Service was excellent except for the surprise at the end. We had been offered a choice of French Onion, seafood bisque, or chicken noodle as the soup options. Our bill reflected an uncharge of $3.95 each for the two of us who ordered French Onion soup. The three of us are sure that our server, Eric, had not mentioned an uncharge but Eric was adamant that he had told us about it. This was very disappointing. So....do go to Hondo's. it's a beautiful restaurant with excellent food, But be sure to ask about uncharges when you place your order to avoid bad surprises at the end.

Hondos is one of our favorite restaurants so we were surprised when it didn’t live up to our expectations. There was a large party there and it was obvious Hondos was having difficulty managing the numbers,service was slow. Management was apologetic and our drinks and appetizers were on the house. Surprisingly the food was less than stellar as well. However one subpar experience will not deter us from returning.
