Le HOKU'S (ouvert pour le souper du mardi au samedi de 17h30 à 22h00 et fermé le dimanche et le lundi soir) est réputé pour sa cuisine fusion innovante alliant saveurs hawaïennes, asiatiques et européennes. Le Hoku's est souvent répertorié comme étant l'un des meilleurs restaurants de Hawaii. Servant une cuisine de l'île avec une touche contemporaine, le Hoku's propose des plats simples et classiques revisités. Sa cuisine est fraîche, légère et innovante. Toujours aussi populaire, l'Ahi Musubi du Hoku et le poisson entier et croustillant de l'île (pour deux personnes) sont des spécialités locales toujours au menu. Les ingrédients utilisés sont un mélange de produits frais cultivés localement et importés de l'étranger. Le Hoku's bénéficie d'un emplacement en bord de mer à vous couper le souffle et offre une vue panoramique sur l'océan Pacifique depuis chacune de ses tables installées dans la salle à manger aménagée sur plusieurs étages. Au Hoku's, un code vestimentaire est de rigueur. Les messieurs sont tenus de porter des chaussures couvertes, des chemise à manches longues et un pantalon long. Les femmes peuvent, quant à elles, porter des robes d'été pour une soirée chic.

Enjoy the popular Sunday buffet at Hoku's or in the Veranda lounge under the iconic chandeliers. Experience a new dawn of fresh and classic items such as Signature garlic and rosemary rubbed prime rib of beef, misoyaki butterfish, steamed Dungeness and Snow crab, chilled lobster tail, Mountain View Farm suckling pig, auction-fresh sashimi, and a divine selection of decadent desserts. Price per adult is $110 and child (6-12) $55, plus tax and gratuity. A 19% service charge is added to parties of 6 or more. No-show reservations will be charges the full amount of $110 per person.

My complaint is that in spite of the note written for the restaurant pre dining telling them of the fact that 2 diners out of the 3 were celiac so gluten free and telling right away to the waitress who assured us to have no worries, the kitchen staff was not told about it and they brought to the table a dish containing gluten and , looking back, the amuse-bouche was at least cross contaminated judging from the digestive reaction post dining! At a place commanding the prices they do, I sure expected more care in this very important respect.

First and foremost, Hoku’s staff was engaged, professional, and fun so kudos to them. The food was well presented, a touch more of selection, creativity, and appropriate serving temperatures would have improved the food but overall what I had was very good. My biggest complaint is that the lighting in the restaurant was way too bright, I’m not sure if it was because there was a corporate event going on in the main dining room or what, but I hate to be nit picky but lighting is such an important aspect of fine dining and the fact that it was so incredibly bright in there completely killed the atmosphere. It’s a beautiful dining room, so with that small fix it would have been far more enjoyable. Overall I would give Hoku’s another chance because of the people that made the service so great. Mahalo! 🤙

Food and service were fantastic. The ambience could’ve been better had there not been toddlers and small children running around and screaming. Seems odd to have in this otherwise intimate and romantic environment with views of the ocean.

It was crowded, but somehow it didn't feel crowded. The lines were short, service was great, it was quiet, and the beautiful view I'm sure helped distract any negative vibes... Food was great. I scored value s little lower but it's really not the fault of the buffet that I don't eat sashimi, poke, etc... I ate a little of everything else so I got the feeling of good value largely in terms of quality not necessarily in quantity.

Outstanding Sunday Brunch. Service was spectacular. We were seated on the Veranda and had a live cellist playing.

The brunch buffet is amazing!! Definitely worth the price. I plan to go there at least once a month.

Staff was very friendly and attentive to our table. Best deal for all you can eat lobster, miso butterfish, prime rib, smoked salmon Benedict and other great selection on seafood.

We had a lovely birthday lunch at Hoku’s. We were there to celebrate my husband’s birthday and sat at a cozy booth for two with a beautiful ocean view. The food was delicious. 🥰🙏🏻
