Interesting menu. Limited choices and yet they provide a full spectrum from seafood to steak and vegetarian. It is loud inside although the outdoor seating is inviting.

Decor is charming, but the room was unbearably loud. We were pleased to be quickly reseated outside. Menu print was microscopic. Food took an hour to arrive (without any communication about the long wait). Meal (soup, pasta) was ok. Service was unsmiling, awkward, and not up to the 23% gratuity pre-selected on the handheld register, particularly after tossing to-go boxes on the table for us to fill. The evening felt like a struggle rather than a treat.

Charming ambiance. We ordered 2 entrees to share and both were delicious. I especially enjoyed the stuffed acorn squash. Service was excellent without being intrusive. Will go back.

We were very impressed, overall! The service was quick and friendly. The food was prepared fresh and presented well! The steak was a bit too tough. This is the second time the meat has been served this way. The chicken and gnocchi was incredible. And the burger was delicious as well.

A quirky kind of experience: small restaurant, smooth operation in a cool non-corporate dining environment with intimate + warm, but not bright lighting, AND wow, nice playlist. Charming. Just charming. Food was excellent, the service was attentive and friendly, wine list was limited but interesting and enough to choose from. Went on a Sunday for Texas steak night and the flavors impressed on the steak + fries, but the added starter of a Caesar salad was very salty. Otherwise 5 stars! Little patio outside, too. Still a bit too hot here people!

I met the lovely Sarah yesterday at another restaurant and she told me she also worked at Hillside Farmacy. I am visiting Austin for a few days and had some free time for lunch. The vibe is modern cool meets Gower’s Drug Store from It’s a Wonderful Life. The interior takes you back to a different time, but the food is fresh and good. I had two of each of the featured oysters—all were delicious and served the traditional way with cocktail sauce, fresh horseradish, and mignonette. I then had the charcuterie board with pate, prosciutto, cheese, coarse mustard, etc with thinly sliced toast. I did not try but saw mussels, macaroni and cheese, cheeseburgers being served around me to rave reviews. A fabulous experience and I would highly recommend! I sat inside but there is outdoor seating which was quite busy as well.

We enjoyed the old school atmosphere of the farmacy. It Made for a romantic evening and great date spot. The steak dinner was more than enough food.

We had a very nice father/daughter lunch. The service was great. I love this space and ambiance and the food was good. I had the burger and they provided gluten free bread at my request. My daughter had a salad and with both enjoyed it. Nice lunch spot! I highly recommend it.
