Au hiko-A-mon, vous goûterez à une cuisine japonaise mêlant le traditionnel au moderne, influencée par les saveurs de l’Asie du sud-est et de l’Europe. La carte est composée de plats modernes japonais, mais aussi de propositions plus personnelles inspirées des restaurants traditionnels de Kyoto, la ville dont est originaire le chef Hiko. L’établissement possède une remarquable carte des vins, ainsi qu’une sélection importante de différents sakés et shochus. Passionné de grands crus, le chef saura vous conseiller afin de compléter votre repas avec le vin le mieux adapté. Que ce soit seul, en couple ou en famille, vous vous sentirez à l’aise dans ce restaurant qui peut recevoir jusqu’à 12 personnes. Les clients désireux de manger en toute intimité pourront être installés à l’écart, à l’une des trois tables conçues pour accueillir jusqu’à 6 personnes. Pour ceux qui souhaitent souper en plus grand comité, une grande table d’une capacité de 16 personnes sera mise à leur disposition. Vous avez également possibilité de privatiser la salle à manger et d’y réunir jusqu’à 10 convives. Si cela est insuffisant, le restaurant dispose d’une autre salle, baptisée « Ozashiki », qui pourra quant à elle accueillir un maximum de 16 personnes.

We offer two special private rooms. One is called "Ozashiki" which is a very nice Japanese style private room, and yes, you will be asked to take off your shoes and sit on the floor. It will be held many functions for up to 16. If you have a great birthday or family party, "Ozashiki" will be the best fit for you. If you need to impress your clients, we have another private dining room. It will be held up to 11 people and available for the business meeting. Also, this private room is perfect for your family event. It's really comfortable, so you will be relaxed with your family. This place is always consistently good. The servers are kind and gentle. Always nice relaxing spot for a wonderful meal.

Dinner was excellent. We had several different sushi rolls, shrimp spring rolls, edamame and small house salads. Two of us shared a large Kirin beer. Dinner for three was $87 plus tip. I had ordered a whole grilled calamari but it never came. The waitress came late in the meal to check on us but by then we were too close to finished and told her to for get it. She then disappeared again and it was a long wait to get our check. The restaurant was not that busy. Other servers were out and about. I’m not sure what the issue was. We have had that waitress many times and she usually rates five stars. Service generally there is very good. We highly recommended the restaurant.

We love eating at hik-A-mon, the food is always exceptional. My husband enjoys getting grilled fish, while my son & I also order sushi. We are never disappointed.

Our favorite Japanese Restaurant over 2 decades. We think it is only place in Louisville to serve authentic( or very close to) Japanese foods. We hesitate to try others. We refrain from talking about that. Restaurant is clean and servers are courteous and efficient. Despite full table and some with kids, it was quiet. Sushi with raw fishes are excellent but many other good foods, non fish.

Had a wonderful time grabbing a bite for dinner. My friend and I both got the Jennifer role and a small salad. Our server was attentive, but left us alone to catch up as well. Would definitely return again.

Hiko A mon is one of my favorite restaurants. A friend who does business in Japan always takes his Japanese clients there. The sushi and sashimi are great and there are plenty of options for the less adventurous diners among us. I will return.
