Herb provides fine Thai dining in the Chicago area. The chefs use the freshest and highest-quality ingredients (mostly organic) while at the same time injecting their passion for the culinary arts in each and every dish. The restaurant itself is the creation of Patty Neumson, who grew up in Thailand. She has developed four seasonal menus for Herb that guests can order from, depending on the time of year. Herb has been the recipient of numerous awards and recognition for its cuisine. Winner of Guy Fieri's 'Spiciest Episode', and Chef battle '18. Won Best 100 Dishes in Chicago from Time Out Magazine. '15-'18 Michelin recommended restaurant. Zagat Rated in '17 as Best Restaurant. As seen on channel 5, 7, 9, and 11.

Great fresh food with wonderful flavors, a real treat of a tasting menu with each dish beautifully presented and carefully crafted. The attention to detail and passion in the food is fantastic and a great way to spend an evening with no rush, just relax and enjoy the food.

Hadn't been to Herb in a while, but what a wonderful meal and experience we had two weeks ago with our close friends. In the past the food was always so excellent that tolerating a bit of unevenness in the service was well worth it, but our most recent experience hit on all cylinders. Will definitely be going back and continuing to recommend.

This restaurant never disappoints. I brought friends and we were all gushing about the complex delicious flavors. The restaurant is pretty as well and the staff is courteous and accommodating. Patty is a marvel and I always make sure I visit Herb when I’m visiting Chicago.

This is a little known gem. We were greeted and attended by Chef Patty who is a delight! The food was wonderful -- delicious and beautifully presented. Different flavors come forward in each dish. The plants and simple decor match the food -- a bit subtle, natural, and nourishing.

An elegant dining experience with authentic Thai flavors. My Thai parents are picky about their restaurants, but Herb is one of their favoraites for special occasions. Chef Patty is very attentive and friendly. Would highly recommend!

I went here for my birthday recently, and it was fantastic. The chef serves traditional Thai food, but on an elevated level. The chef came to our table several times to explain the menu. And the nicest touch was that she gifted me a candle! I will come back!
