It consists of two bar areas, three private dining rooms, a VIP bar for cocktail parties, and a ballroom for large catering events. The bars are equipped with plenty of high top table seating for dining and are perfect for trying some of the tasty small plate offerings or any of the full menu entrees. The George Bar, so named for the historic portraits of George Washington that adorn the walls, features full screen TV’s available to the public Tuesday through Saturday.

I love Hendricks and have been eating here since it opened. The menu is terrific and the food is always very good. My friend and I had brunch and were having a really enjoyable time until the waiter who was not friendly and kind of gruff just made a stupid comment. I honestly don’t understand the purpose of a waiter serving people in any restaurant let alone an upscale restaurant would make a snarky comment. It’s just dumb.

Service was excellent, from our server to the entire staff. Very professional and efficient. Food was delicious and well timed between courses. Was not rushed and felt very comfortable. Meal consisted of the bone marrow and oysters to start. Both excellent. Main course porterhouse for 2. Perfectly cooked medium rare. Great evening and Meal Highly recommend

I greatly enjoyed my first dinner at Hendricks Tavern. All the staff was very gracious and helpful particularly early in the evening. We arrived at 6PM and stayed well past 9PM; we had 6 in our group and were pleased to not be rushed. As they got very busy, the service was a bit slower. The food was terrific, offered a great variety of choices and well presented; the cocktails were imaginative and strong. We chose to dine outside which was a bit noisier than I'd like due to the closeness to a major street, but it was very nice and likely less noisy than dining indoors. My husband loved the Chicken Parm, said one of the best he's ever had. My Filet Mignon, others special steaks, and seafood dishes were cooked to perfection and the portion sizes were generous. We shared 6 appetizers with the zucchini and eggplant chips being a favorite as well as the Ahi Tuna and Steak tartare. Since we were quite full we only shared two desserts that were also very nice. With a 20% tip and several drinks consumed, our total was $912. $150+ per person is pricey thus why only 4 stars value wise. Nonetheless, truly impressed thus plan to return with friends and for special celebrations.

The food is usually good at Hendricks but we must have visited on an off night. There were 4 of us and 2 of the men ordered the surf and turf nightly special. The steaks were both overcooked significantly and had to be sent back. One ordered medium and his steak was well done and tough. The other ordered medium rare and it was cooked medium well and tough. The waiter acknowledged the steaks were cooked wrong when he saw inside both steaks. He gave us no problem and new steaks were cooked. New steaks were cooked properly but the other two of us already finished our meals. Odd that there was no apology from the waiter (on behalf of the restaurant) and no offer to compensate for the inconvenience (nor did we ask). I ordered the striped bass special and most of the fish tasted fine but part of it was fishy and tasted off. It was strange. Not sure what happened but maybe an off night or their food quality has deteriorated since we visited last year.

As always great dining experience. Food was outstanding, we started with the zucchini and eggplant chips that were fried perfectly, greaseless and stacked high on the plate with a wonderful garlic and almond dipping sauce. Next my wife had the baked Halibut with basil, pine nuts and roasted tomatoes and a beurre blanc sauce. The halibut was cooked perfectly. I had the veal chop Milanese topped with an Arugula, tomato and onion salad dressed with a very light vinaigrette. The veal was perfectly cooked and very thick. Fantastic quality ingredients. Side dish was crispy Brussel sprout leaves. The restaurant was very busy but the service was excellent. We’ve never had a bad meal at Hendricks or at any of their sister restaurants. Prices are commensurate with the high quality of the food and service.

Always a pleasant dining experience! Had a yummy omelette with spinach, mushrooms and swiss cheese.

Delightful. Service was exceptional. My entree was disappointing. I was offered another selection but declined. A salad ordered before my entree was sufficient. The charge for my entree was removed. I didn’t expect this. It was greatly appreciated. We will return!
