RESERVATIONS:
Heirloom is open for dinner Tuesday - Saturday starting at 5pm; closed Sunday & Monday.
We accept dining reservations 30 days out, simply meaning today's date plus 30 days.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
If you cancel or no show within 12 hours of your reservation, your credit card will be charged $25/per person.
All proceeds go towards the Heirloom kitchen squad’s continued culinary education, research & development.

We do not offer child seating (high chairs/booster seats) of any kind, nor a children’s menu, and we are unable to accommodate strollers in the dining room.

PATIO:
Our patio is located outside, in full sun, with umbrellas provided.
Please take note if you are uncomfortable with sun exposure and outdoor elements.
Patio tables are entirely weather dependent, and therefore released the day of.
However, if the weather is looking magical for a few days at a time, tables will be released for booking.

    First time visitors, came for a date night. Ambience was cute, service was excellent, food was not as great as expected. Mahi mahi dish was bland, cheese plate was very small. Blueberry crisp was also very small but tasty. In-house blueberry butter was so delicious. Great choice of wines.

    Octopus app is consistently delightful. Pesto and pine nut pasta was outstanding, along with tuna and veggie bowl. Gorgeous wine selection. Service is impeccable.

    Truly world-class. We've been at least four times over the last several years, and I honestly cannot think of a single downside. The food is consistently excellent, creative without being weird, and firmly rooted in classic techniques and ingredient combination. The service has also been very good -- professional without being intrusive, ansd friendly without being chummy. Pretty close to a perfect restaurant for my money.

    Overall experience was great! All servers were knowledgeable and efficient. I ordered the mahi mahi, and felt it came out slightly overcooked, and just a bit dry. We had reservations for a show after dinner so I didn’t want to delay the service by bringing it to the attention of our waiter.

    Heirloom is one of our favorite restaurants in Delaware. The food is fresh, imaginative and delicious, and we enjoy seeing the selections change throughout the year. Service is attentive and friendly. The dining rooms in this old house are charming, light and airy. And, a rarity these days, one doesn't have to shout to be heard. One hiccup this time -- we felt a bit rushed. Three different servers attempted to take away my husband's salad which he was still eating (and they did clear the rest of the table), and our entrees arrived before he'd finished his salad. We mentioned this to our waiter, and hope this won't happen again.

    A very nice Victorian house with small rooms inside. It was surprisingly noisy especially when a table near use ordered a second bottle of wine. A lot of people ate at tables outside on the small lawn and they seemed to be more interested in snacks and drinking. The restaurant has a good selection of cheese perfect for wine tasting. I would highly recommend the Kennet Square mushroom plate for the whole table: excellent. My wife had mahi mahi which was partially burnt and dry. I had the chittara pasta which was very dry. The menu says it had paprika, but, if so it was the mild type. Service is first rate. The waitresses all wear peasant blouses. The room itself is quite comfortable so it might be a good place to relax with wine and cheese or cocktails if you can get the right seat.

    Eating at Heirloom is always a wonderful culinary experience. We live in NYC as well as Lewes, and the finest restaurants in New York have nothing on you. This review should allow me to have an easier time getting a reservation at your establishment. Just kidding. All the best to my friend, the owner, and your great staff. I still might bring you some NY bagels in the future.

    Fantastic. First time I've eaten at Heirloom. My girlfriend and I sat on the patio and it was a perfect night for it. Started our dinner with the complimentary bread and followed that up with the Quad of Goat Cheese and Tuna Tartare. The cheese and charcuterie board was fantastic! After that, I had the Pan Seared North Carolina Tuna and my girlfriend had the Pan Seared North Carolina Mahi-Mahi. Both delicious! To conclude our experience, we finished with the Strawberry Goat Cheese Cheesecake. Awesome! Angel was our server and after many years of hearing about him, I am glad he was able to take care of us for my first time dining. After everything I heard about Heirloom, it definitely lived up to its expectations. We will be back again. Thanks again.
