    Overall it was a good experience, and everyone enjoyed their food. I’m not a fan of the round booths, but I’m sure many prefer that to get a good view of the lake.

    Great experience. We were catching up with friends we haven't seen in years and we could all hear each other very well while having a view of the lake.

    The service and atmosphere were great However the food had a lot to be desired. I ordered a cheeseburger it was loaded with salt. My wife ordered the salmon it was halved cooked sent it back came back out 30 minutes later. My daughter ordered the catfish it was real rubbery which is an indicator that the fish isn’t fully cooked she sent it back. The server comes to table after we finally get our food the second time to say the manager said he would give us dessert on the house so my wife and order dessert only to be charged for one of the desserts after being told they were free of course we sent it back. Wasn’t a great for us

    We love HG on the weekends when they have a jazz band. We sat at the bar and Makayla took good care of us. Great place to relax, enjoy the view and have a great dinner.

    As always excellent food and service with an excellent view of the water! Noise level from the band was a little too loud. Overall an excellent experience and I highly recommend!

    Dinner was delicious as always, and service was exceptional. But VERY disappointing that they no longer have their carrot cake. That’s one of the main reasons we chose Hefner Grill for a birthday dinner. Hoping they bring the cake back soon.

    Such a great setting, but I’m not surprised that this place is hardly ever busy. While the food sounds delicious when reading from the menu, the execution is poor. Every one of us said the same thing about the food: it was just, “okay.” If I had to foretell the future of this place, I’d say they’ll soon close up shop and (hopefully) someone who knows how to execute the menu will take over.
