The Hearthside Dining Room at Elmhirst's Resort offers a unique farm to table dining experience. Guests are treated to a panoramic view of Rice Lake on arrival. The menu features Black Angus beef, raised on-site and processed to the Chef's specifications. Ducks, turkeys and vegetables are also raised on property. An All-Canadian wine list with 100+ labels complements the local food. Other venues include the Wild Blue Yonder Pub, a casual restaurant with a flying theme. Conference and banquet facilities for groups of up to 200 are available as well.

Wonderful time spent here for lunch in the dining room Wonderful views Wonderful food, pecan brownie to die for!! Lovely server! Will be back for sure.

The ambiance was very relaxing overlooking the lake. The food was delicious and very well presented and we were so thrilled with the extensive Ontario wine selection. Bravo Elmhirst Resort for being a true supporter of local wine.

Very limited lunch menu this time of year. Food was average—nothing outstanding. We were the only 2 people in the restaurant. Service was fine.

My mom and I had heard great things about Elmhirst Resort dining. They did not disappoint! Our meal was amazing (loved the red fife bread and maple butter, yum) and we had a window table to enjoy the water and the wildlife. The staff were top notch as well. We wouldn't hesitate to go back again!

It was so nice to return to Elmhirst after a few years and it did not disappoint. My wife and I both had menu items that featured Elmhirst's own meat (beef dip and brisket sandwich). I had the brisket and it was gorgeously prepared. The meat was buttery and the bun was the perfect choice - chewy and capable of holding up to the sandwich contents. My only complaint was that the bbq sauce was overpowering and left my hands drenched and sticky after every bite. Service was attentive and very friendly. The view was gorgeous.

My husband and I have come to the dining room a few times since moving to the area, we have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the quietness of the dining room. The food has always been great but I was not impressed with my meal this time around. I tried the meatloaf and definately did not enjoy it, the vegetables were also not very good (almost tasted like they were soaked in vinegar. I will return and try something else next time, but just wasnt satisfied this time.

Hello, food and beverage manager here. My apologies for your less than stellar experience this time around, we have been doing a fair bit of training on new staff and reviewing all our standard operating procedures and it looks like there was a mistake along the way. Thank you so much for the feedback, its only through comments like this that make quality control possible, and they can be invaluable while we are training people and reviewing our SOPs. Thanks again for the info, it is a very helpful tool in making sure that our dining room is best that it can be.

View perfect, Food delicious, Server great. Two yelling kids throughout our business dinner - hard to handle. This is not the norm - usually restaurant is so calm and peaceful. Will definitely be back.
