Nommé en mémoire du Nicholas Hawksmoor Christchurch Spitalfields, juste en bas de la rue, Hawksmoor Spitalfields ouvert en 2006 à reçu des critiques dithyrambiques, consacrant l'histoire d'amour de Londres avec le steak. The newly refurbished Spitalfields Bar will be open every Sunday from 12pm - 4pm, serving a special Hawksmoor Sunday Roast Menu and handpicked cocktails. We will be able to host groups of up to 10 people. Advanced booking is necessary, and parties will be seated in the Downstairs Bar. Unfortunately the bar area is not wheelchair accessible.

Overall my experience was ok. Food great as always and our waiters were very tentative but I feel the restaurant operation let itself down. First no one asked to take out coats. They did when we visited Guildhall back in November. Second we were offered a seat by the entrance. Especially on a busy night that we booked in advance this was not ideal. We asked to move which the waiter kindly supported but the new table we were given was half the size and we felt cramped.

Food and service just perfect, simple with great recommendations... We had filet with sides. Even down to the creamed spinach, everything was done soo well with good quality produce... Tasted great and the service was the perfect amount of friendly and attentive without overboard... And it was a very busy valentines evening so impressive service. Again recommendations for wine and food were spot on! Atmosphere was lively and warm. Definitely will return and would highly recommend.

It was just a bit average tbh, The starters and sides were better than the steak which for a steak restaurant isn’t ideal. The chateaubriand really didn’t have the quality you would expect it to. Not only that but it was definitely over seasoned with tough edges

Food outstanding - we chose our wine but our waiter gave us a sample of his recommendation which was very good indeed and cheaper than our selection! This is not cheap but the quality is outstanding - very highly recommended in my opinion.

The service was brilliant, however the food was a little bit of a let down. 3 of the 6 dishes were brilliant, however the remaining 3 were a but of a disappointment. The steak had very clearly been sitting under the heating lights for a while whilst all the other food was cooked so it could all be brought out at the same time, and the fillet steak for the surf & turf was completely over cooked. Overall, a great time was had, but it's just such a shame these small things went wrong, especially as the prices aren't cheap - everything needs to be spot on.

Had the best time! Food amazing, service even better! We had our 7th anniversary meal, they were more than accommodating! Even giving us a special gift with our dessert!
