Our evening at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was fantastic. The food was spectacular. Ever single dish deeply satisfying. Even a humble dish like Buttered English Greens was cooked to absolute perfection. Our waiter was attentive, charming and very knowledgeable, so I felt completely at ease bringing my coeliac son there.

The place is way too noisy. Wait staff was friendly but got our salads orders wrong. They replaced them promptly though and apologized. My husband had the Sunday roast and said the beef was tough. So he was disappointed. My grilled sole was good though . I did wish it was deboned before it was served .

This was an okay Sunday roast, disappointed to find at 1500 they had run out of the cauliflower cheese - bearing in mind the service was no where near at the end. The roast itself was fine, nothing exceptional. The roast potatoes were so hard I could genuinely barely cut them without almost pinging one across the restaurant!!! We got some replacements and they were also like bullets. Definitely had been sat under the hot lights for a while - have had better and much more ordinary pubs. We ordered the celeriac mash and it was comparable to Smash - gloopy and like wallpaper paste. Disappointing. The meat was lovely and pink and the gravy, stuffing and giant Yorkshire pudding was lovely ! Shame about the inconsistency which made the whole experience fall a bit flat. Service was pretty good! Would return for a steak but not the roast.

The only reason they lose a star what that my Latte was served luke warm (the sugar cube would not melt). The team quickly exchanged it - but for yet another luke warm Latte (if not even cooler!!).

Sunday roast beef was excellent - succulent, flavoursome meat cooked pink (was well cooked option) with huge yorkshire and veg and fab gravy. Only disappointment was the roast potatoes that were seemed a bit over-cooked - a bit tough. Sticky toffee pudding excellent. Staff were great - attentive and friendly. The venue is great - art deco style - deceptively big basement given the small entrance.

Food is amazing. One of the best steaks I’ve had. Great wine and cocktails. Sides were lush too. Staff were friendly but was a little slow. This might be due to the restaurant being busy, we went on a Friday night. Overall I would recommend!
