Gagnant du 'Best New Restaurant' lors des Tatler Restaurants Awards 2012, Hawksmoor Guildhall est un superbe restaurant et bar en plein cœur de la City. Il offre « le meilleur déjeuner de puissance » (GQ Magazine) à la capitale financière de Londres et est idéal pour les réunions et le divertissement des clients. Le restaurant de 160 couverts est réputé pour servir des steaks de l'épaisseur d'un dictionnaire provenant de bovins Longhorn élevés traditionnellement par les bouchers récipiendaires de plusieurs prix de The Ginger Pig, vieillis à sec, ou pendant au moins 35 jours et cuits simplement sur un grill au charbon de bois véritable. La cave à vin est assez grande pour mener des dégustations permettant de découvrir une carte de vins et de portos extensive disponibles au verre, et le bar est tenu par quelques-uns des meilleurs barmen de Londres servant des cocktails classiques et des boissons originales. Il y a aussi une salle à manger privée pouvant accueillir 22 convives, ainsi qu'une table pour 10 dans la salle à manger principale, qui sert le menu dégustation exclusif de festin de boeuf. The bone marrow and onions we great, if not a little rich to start, however the rump steak with our steak and chips was decidedly average if not a little tough. We asked for medium rare and it was definately more medium that rare and quite tough to cut through - the chips were amazing as was the bernaise sauce.

The roast was dry. The rest of the sides arrived late and it was also dry. Staff was great that apologised and took items off bill but I nonetheless noticed a decrease in quality

Another fantastic meal at Hawksmoor. Quieter as you would have expected on a Saturday night in the City. Food was amazing as usual, but it was the service that was really outstanding. We were celebrating my daughters exam results, and the staff had printed off welcome notes and written congratulations on the desert plate. She was very impressed. Perfect choice for the special occasion!

Met up with a couple of old friends and decided to visit the only Hawksmoor in London that we hadn’t been to. Food and service were as expected, I.e. very good. Nice wine, food and company. The noise levels were good, allowing a conversation without have to shout. Menu is good, but we felt a little light on the choice of vegetable sides, what we did have could have been a little more inspiring for the money. Having said that there is no reason not to visit again in the future.

The quality of service was outstanding and very friendly. The steaks were wonderful, though the oysters were not remarkable. Not a bad evening out, but for what they offered, it was a bit on the pricey side.

Lovely room and attentive friendly service. Food was good, went cold quickly. We had the Sunday roast, excellent beef. Yorkshire pudding was enormous and a bit overdone and cold so not the best - wasn’t super fresh sadly. Puddings were excellent and a good wine list although pricy so scored down on value.

Our Sunday roast was delicious and so was the sticky toffee pudding. The portion size was perfect. Staff were friendly and attentive.

On arrival we were given a lovely warm welcome. I explained I had a voucher on my phone and my battery was about to die 😵‍💫. They kindly said no problem we will charge your phone so that was great. Food was delicious myself and husband shared the crab on toast and had fillet steak with chips and mash to share . It was all cooked to perfection. Sadly we were so full we couldn’t manage dessert but next time for sure. My only criticism is the wine is very expensive we paid £50 which was one of the cheapest offered. But definitely go back again .
