Food was outstanding wife and I loved everything we ordered. She had the crab cakes and I had the beef tenderloin both were delicious and cooked perfectly.

Lovely cocktails, great fried oysters and wonderful entrees - pasta, halibut, trout and chicken were delicious. Wanted to order dessert but it was so loud we couldn’t hear our waiter or our own companions conversation. Decided to head out! One large table next to us😬

Service seemed slow even though only a few tables were occupied. That may have been the issue as staff may have been complaisant. Will try it again

I have been going here for many years. The food is consistently delicious and the service is always excellent. We went for a birthday brunch and ate in the very lovely outdoor area under trees.

Great service! Excellent server who was informative and fun. The food - vegetarian spring rolls then beef tenderloin with asparagus & mashed potatoes - was outstanding, as always. This is one dish they always hit out of the park. Great wine list, as well, with quite reasonable prices and a friendly pour.

Dining outside was perfect! The blue plate special, my historic “go to,” didn’t sound appealing, but the potato soup and fried oyster salad were yummy. Hamiltons is one of a very few restaurants that can make a decaf cappuccino. Thank you, Hamiltons!

We appreciated the warm, professional greeting when we arrived. We had an early evening reservation, seated near the door, so the noise level was very comfortable -- the background music selection was far superior to many places we've tried: actual dinner music, not classic rock. The service throughout was impeccable, attentive, but not intrusive, friendly and with good humor. The fried oyster appetizer arrived hot with a nice crunchy exterior and good fresh texture. My wife's halibut entree was a substantial portion, cooked perfectly. I have a known weakness for shrimp and grits: these did not disappoint. The smoked tomato added real interest and the grits were like nothing you could fix at home. Hamilton's is our go-to place for dinner downtown. Highly recommend.

The variety and quality of the meal was very high. Service was excellent. The only suggestion is to add some sound absorbing panels since normal noises reverberates from the hard surfaces making conversation difficult for those with hearing impairment.

The chicken, mushroom ravioli and pork chops were so good. We loved the attention to detail aka The Bear. Our server was so into it and made a dramatic playful night, but professional. The fried oysters and lamb meatballs were solid. Authentic flavors. Would love a DIPA on the beer menu but the Brown Ale from NH was perfect. Quality stuff at Downtown Mall. Thank you for making daughter's return to school a memorable night. Grab a reservation ASAP!
