Le Halyards on St. Simons redéfinit la cuisine de l'île depuis 16 ans. C'est l'endroit où il faut être vu, que vous soyez de la région ou en visite, et que vous sachiez ou ayez entendu dire que le thon braisé avec sauce au vin et aux prunes ou le steak avec beurre de citron et soja valent le déplacement. Ne manquez pas la bisque au crabe bleu ou les plats du jour. Le bar qui peut accueillir 20 personnes organise une Happy Hour tous les jours. Our server was outstanding but food was not up to the standard we are acustom to from Halyards. I had Scalops that were salty and chewy and the Peach Cobbler was lacking in peaches.

Service was excellent and friendly. The wine was excellent as was the dinner - freshly caught fish of the day was wonderful. When we arrived they knew there was a birthday as did the waiter and they made the experience very welcoming and friendly. Gave us a wonderful dessert with a candle for the birthday person. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant and warm.

We were greeted with hospitality. Our table was in a perfect quiet corner just as I had requested when I made my reservation. The booth was romantic and my wife and I could actually hear each other and enjoy conversation. Our server Johnny was outstanding and made excellent recommendations of delicious food which came out exactly as ordered. We did bring our own bottle of wine as it was a “reserve”that paired perfectly with what we ordered. The corking fee was fair and reasonable. My previous experience was not the best at Halyards-but I must say I am a believer in second chances. Dinner was outstanding!

Halyards is such a supremely incredible restaurant!!! Each dining experience for us is unique, but familiar and each employee is friendly, knowledgeable, and caring! The food is extraordinary and the menu selections provide scrumptious options for each and every guest! Thomas and Donna manage with integrity and care, always stopping by to chat which makes the evening even more memorable!! We have been coming to Halyards for many, many years as visitors to SSI, but after our 2020 move to the island it has taken on a much more valuable part of our island and retirement experience!

Chris our server knew the menu well and did an excellent job of reviewing menu selections to avoid food allergies. His service was terrific. Our meal was well paced, the crab bisque was excellent, we both enjoyed our entrees and finished our meal with a crème brûlée. We will be back!
