Le Halyards on St. Simons redéfinit la cuisine de l'île depuis 16 ans. Our dinner at Halyards was delightful. Six of us (4 friends visiting from of town) enjoyed our round table in the back corner. Our server, Thomas, was informative and fun. Great wine and drink selection. All of our food was delicious. Great evening

We sat outside knowing it would be hot. With the fans blowing we were not uncomfortable. The flies were so bad I had to cover my drink glass with a napkin. A fly got stuck in my side sauce. We wanted to order dessert but the flies seem to be increasing as the meal progressed. Don’t sit outside!.

We understand how challenging it can be to enjoy a meal when the ambiance isn't suitable. Unfortunately, even with the use of outside fans, it's near impossible to combat the elements of the southern Georgia summer heat. Our sincerest apologies that we weren't able to do anything more to help alleviate this unpleasant issue. It would be our pleasure to rebook you and your party for a reservation inside our dining room. If that doesn't suit, our bar seating becomes available promptly at 5:00pm. Menu a bit abbreviated from what we have experienced there in past years. Food still superb, as is the service. Most menu items are "gourmet" style and feature some odd-wad foodie ingredient that takes off some of the luster. Night we went they had scallop special. Great scallops plus the best-prepared risotto I have had in years. It is not an inexpensive place.

As usual our overall experience was superb. My pan seared tuna was delicious. My husband got the fried chicken, which he said was good, however the portion size was not as expected (quite small). Service is always over the top.
