Join us at the iconic Hali'imaile General Store for Happy Hour in our bar and front lanai areas . We offer delicious food and drink specials daily from 2:30 - 4:30*. Food options include HGS favorites like our Crab Pizza and Upcountry Salad, as well as a delicious Herb Ricotta & Ceviche of the day. Wash it down with drink specials on select beer, wine and cocktails, including Wendy's champion Tai Mai. Don't forget to save room for our famous Pineapple Upside Down cake, featuring Maui Gold pineapples from right next door. *All Happy Hour food must be ordered no later than 4:30.
Thanksgiving Buffet

Join the Hali'imaile General Store Ohana for our famous Thanksgiving Day Buffet. We will be serving an assortment of traditional Thanksgiving and local dishes and there'll be something for everyone in the family. Larry Golis will also be entertaining everyone with his acoustic guitar and vocals. The price will be $75 for adults and $35 for keiki (tax and gratuity are additional). Please note that we will only be serving the buffet on this day and our regular menus will not be available. We look forward to spending this special day with you. Happy Thanksgiving.

The live country music was entertaining and well done, the food was in my opinion not up to par for me. The chicken was warm and dry, brisket fatty I did enjoy the biscuits and sausage gravy. The potato salad was just horrible. I enjoy eating in the restaurant but I wouldn’t do the bbq again or recommend it unless you’re just there for the music.

Arrived a few minutes early and was politely greeted by Cathy. Ordered a drink and sat outside briefly. Our table was ready before drinks came so we enjoyed them at our table. Kolette was our server and was on top of things all evening. Party had pan seared monchong, ono, and teriyaki burger. All were great. Even had a brief and pleasant interaction with Zacha who I believe was the manager. First time there but will plan on returning on my next visit to Maui.

We’ve been going here for over 30 years. It’s had its ups and downs — far more ups than downs — but it feels like home and the food is delicious and the staff are genuine and lovely.

We visited this restaurant three years ago and, at that time, I thought it was the best restaurant on Maui. I still do. Food is fantastic, ambiance is charming and our server was wonderful. Thank you Joe!

For the numerous times that I’ve eaten at Hali’imaile General Store, my experience each time has been nothing short of perfection. The atmosphere was so warm and inviting, from the moment the very friendly hostess welcomed us, to the moment that our server presented us with the bill. Everything in between—the generous pour of wine, the crisp garden salad with a side dish of marinated portobello mushrooms added to it, the perfectly seasoned scallop and crab cakes, and the oversized portion of BBQ Ribs—was mouthwateringly delicious. Big thanks to Hali’imaile General Store for another encore performance! 👍👍

A wonderful place worth the drive. Menu has the perfect set of appetizers and a great balance of seafood versus various meat offerings. Most are very original in the modifications to anything you may have had elsewhere… and it’s all super fresh and perfectly flavored and cooked. Service is friendly and always around. E sure to read the details of everything before you choose!
