Opened in November 2010, Hakkasan Mayfair is the second London edition to the acclaimed Hakkasan brand. Innovatively created cocktails and a unique wine list, are combined with carefully chosen dim sum and Chinese dishes that are ever changing, dynamic and new. The result is authentic Cantonese cooking with a contemporary flare – at once subtle and thrilling - and all made with the best ingredients. Hakkasan Mayfair is set over two floors. The lower ground floor invites the guest to the traditional Hakkasan setting, surrounded by intricate wooden screens allowing intimate dining, whilst, the ground floor brings a combination of relaxed atmosphere and a vibrant bar encouraging guests to indulge in an inspired environment. Really average food. The service was sufficient enough to not ask to remove service, but in no way excellent. The food was uninspired, boring, the plating was desperately old school. The food was okay, we ate everything, and I don't feel like I overpaid by much, but really only just. If I'm paying £39 for a set menu, I'd at least hope to not have overcooked chicken. Though saying that the chicken skin was excellent. The dessert was honestly bizarre, a frozen parfait with a hazelnut wafer crust, with room temperature chocolate poured over it. Maybe my knowledge of Chinese food is lacking but that completely threw me off, it was also huge, like a pool ball, as opposed to the 8 pieces of meat received with the stir fried beef. All in all I'm not upset I ate there, but given how high the prices go up, had I spent more I might have a much more serious complaint. Also the inexplicable 'Magarita Month' menu was blatantly made with AI, which is just lazy and shows the exact attention to detail that was missing from Hakkasan.

Pricy, but food was good. Good atmosphere, but don't get too attached to the Cantonese style.

Great experience, with tantalising flavours, nice presentation and satisfying portions. Stellar service, attentive and quick. Lively but quiet ambience. The set menu is unbeatable value too.

Our waiter was very helpful as I have a prawn intolerance and we still were able to have one of the set menu experiences.

The experience was good however I booked for the 3 course meal at £39 but was told that was no longer available when we got there so we ended up spending £156.40 You shouldn’t advertise an offer that isn’t available as it was misleading

Brilliant the waiter was good. The whole duck doesn’t seem like the actual quantity when they took it to the kitchen to cut was not same quantity when it was brought to us.

Walking into a top Mayfair restaurant is a privilege in life and although we were working on a restricted budget we managed to have a most marvellous anniversary meal at Hakkasan. The ambience is striking and the live tracks gave the evening a very modernist feel. The cuisine was excellent and we managed to avail ourselves of a cocktail before dinner. We were welcomed by the staff, the service was excellent and all in all it was a memorable night out

The food options are great and however didn't justify the tag to the taste of the food ... I would recommend to go for ala Carte.
