Grindstone Charley's is an American restaurant + bar serving scratch made quality food and drinks. Established in 1982, this is good home cooking, with recipes that have been passed down through generations. Our menu features USDA choice hand cut steaks, antibiotic-free chicken, hand-crafted burgers, artisan salads & sandwiches, scratch made soups, along with an interesting , everyday wine & cocktail selection. First time eating here, we had ribs, salmon, meatloaf, pot-roast, sirloin steak for appetizers we had cheese triangles, and stuffed mushrooms there was 7 of us and all the food was HOT and Great was very pleased with Grindstone Charley's located in Kokomo, Indiana Highly Recommend

I made reservations ahead of time for a birthday party of 8 friends. The round table was nice, but noisy between the bar & the kitchen making conversation difficult. At first the waitress seemed irritated that I requested coasters, but she only brought made 2, instead of enough for others at the table. Then she changed and did a good job. My main complaint is that the two people who ordered sirloin steak , one medium well and one well done had a lot of gristle in the meat. My husband mentioned it to the waitress, but she didn’t do anything about it. The other lady ate hers, but both said it was the worst, grisly steak they had ever had. The other six people’s food was good. So sad to not get a quality piece of sirloin for the price. My salmon was good, hamburgers and chicken were too. We celebrate all of our birthdays and have eaten here before, but will think twice the next time about where we go.

Food is always excellent. Today we ordered the Bacon Cheddar Burger and Grilled Shrimp. Always great service and delicious food. Occasionally we have trouble getting our rewards points. Still waiting for them to come through for today’s lunch.

Staff is always friendly. Our server tonight was Hope. She is always smiling and cheerful. Always right there to refill our drinks. Great place to eat!

The bake pototoes are always cold. We have to have them reheat them and are still not real hot.

Service and food was very good! Our bartender, Brooke, was very attentive friendly! Old fashions's are made classic. Difficult to find these days. She's very good and I highly recommend !! We go every week and will continue!!
