Our first time back here in years. The GCOB caters to an after work crowd. We were in for a show and we were looking forward to dining here. The server was dismissive bordering on rude. The lobster cocktail was overdone but the oysters and mignonette were delicious. Paper cups for a mignonette seems cheap given the price of the oysters were all between $4-5 a piece. Wine list is excellent.

A NY institution that doesn't deserve to be. The maitre d was rude and needlessly condescending, the waiter cwas somewhat rude and ouldn't have paid us less attention, walking by and never asking if everything was ok or filling our water. The food was essentially thrown down at our table and that was that. Prices are very high and the service is below that of a diner. As in so many places, the only people who seem to care and to do their jobs well are the busboys. A real disappointment and one I won't be revisiting.

Delicious choice of various origines of East Coast oysters. Fish was good. We’re no favourites of battered fish. We like the plain options to let the pure texture and taste come out.

Terrible service, understaffed, brought out wrong oder, bill had food we didn’t order. After waiting nearly one hour, we cancelled the main course and left

The restaurant is an amazing venue in the iconic Grand Central Station. The service was second to none with recommendations and confirmation of choices made. The food was superb. A long way to come from the UK for a meal but pleased we booked in advance and if ever in New York will certainly visit again.

Food was just ok, service was good. The oyster medley we ordered, was meh. Many oysters still had sand in them. Faroe Island salmon was overcooked, sea bass was ok. Meal was overpriced.

We loved Juan, our waiter!! The Maine Lobster Roll is the best. Rosé was a wee bit warm though.
