    Food was not very good at all We ended up splitting entree after appetizers were subpar. Glad we did since I didn’t even finish my 1/2 entree

    Great iconic restaurant in NYC. Food excellent. Service beyond what was required We loved it.

    Awful food and service unfortunately. Mains turned up 2 minutes after starters and items from the dishes were missing (apparently as the kitchen was due to close). The place is huge and there was little to no atmosphere, feels like this place will fold soon

    I have been going since I was a kid. A good tradition - especially if you're aiming for a train!

    This restaurant has been one of our favorites in NYC, but this time it did not live up to expectations. The service was very slow. We had to ask some of the helpers to let our waiter know that we were ready to order. We had to ask for the bread. Seem that the waiter was overextended. Moreover, we had to send back one of the dishes, the fish was undercooked. We hope this was just a bad day and not a downhill curve for what has been an iconic place for great sea food in NYC.

    I ordered a lobster roll, but over an hour later, they informed me that they were out of lobster that day. I expected them to know the availability of the lobster and informed me sooner, so I could have placed another order earlier and enjoyed the dining experience with my colleagues who were visiting the city. By that time they told me, my colleagues had nearly finished their meals, so I decided to place an alternative order but for takeout.

    Expansive menu, could use more vegetarian options. Service was hit or miss. Polite server but busters cleared the table while we were still eating a course. It was incredibly loud so you had to shout to hear the person next to you.

    It was drinks and apps at the bar. Bartender was excellent. Clearly experienced. The portions were light on the apps. We had 12 oysters, calamari and 3 drinks. $170 with tip.

    Always a keeper in my book. Great Raw oysters, chowders, and good martinis w/ sidecar. Great service. Love the vaulted tile ceilings.
