Lorsque le propriétaire Johnny Carrabba a créé le Grace, son nouveau restaurant, il savait que celui-ci commémorerait les souvenirs qu'il avait de sa chère grand-mère Grace Mandola. Grace, également connue dans la famille sous le nom de Mama, était une sicilienne née de parents immigrés en Louisiane. Elle avait un talent pour la cuisine, l'hospitalité et une foi profonde. Elle était connue pour faire son pain tous les samedis pour ses légendaires dîners siciliens du dimanche qui duraient trois heures. Ses racines familiales nouvellement créées en Louisiane ont ajouté des saveurs intéressantes à ses repas maison. Toute la famille Mandola, y compris ses cinq enfants et ses quatorze petits-enfants, ont été régulièrement accueillis dans sa maison avec des odeurs de pain chaud, de sauces bien mijotées et de soupes maison. C'est autour de sa table que sa famille a appris la véritable signification et la valeur des relations, des amitiés et de la bonne nourriture. We had excellent food, service, and a lovely atmosphere. The food came out fast and hot, and our waiter was excellent. We will definitely visit again!

I truly don't understand why this restaurant is so popular. Food was decent, service great, ambience nice enough. But the main component of a restaurant is the food. It was a good value under Houston Restaurant Weeks, but for us, it's not worth going back. (and not all of the HRW entrees are on the regular menu - so why serve as part of HRW?) I was really disappointed with the chicken-fried chicken - if there were any jalapenos in the gravy, you couldn't taste them. It was bland with no hint of spice. This was our third visit over a few years, and it's just not exceptional enough in a competitive Houston dining scene to make us want to return. We would likely spend a few extra $$$ and go to Carrabba's instead. I looked at Yelp reviews, and am surprised at how positive most reviews are.

Had good home food here. Chicken pot pie was comforting along with the bowl of gumbo was on point.

I always have a excellent experience when I visit Grace's. The cornbread is to die for & the chicken fried chicken & mashed potatoes was amazing 10/10

This is my favorite restaurant in the city. It is always a wonderful experience. The food is consistently good, superb service (attentive w/out being invasive) & great cocktails. I am never disappointed with Graces. And, I was running late for my reservation, I called & they held the table for me. I love this establishment. I will continue to recommend to others. Thank you Graces.

We were celebrating two birthdays and we had a group of 8 including three kids. We were set at a round table where we were all able to see and talk to each other. Our waiter was awesome, patient, attentive, and made sure we felt like he was happy we were there. Any changes we requested were honored with no problems. We can’t wait to go back again.

The food was fresh and full of flavor, but not overly seasoned. Food and drinks were served in a timely manner. Excellent waitstaff! Take out and desert was packed in separate containers! My husband’s first visit. He absolutely loved the beef stroganoff!

I absolutely love graces I am a regular here and I am always treated with kindness! Manager Cody is awesome I see him working just as hard as everyone in the restaurant from the back cooks to the waiters and hosts!
