I am a connoisseur of real steakhouses in North America. We came to Vancouver, BC to see if Gotham Steakhouse was a real steakhouse. It did not disappoint! We started with a GreyGoose Martini and were soon met by Jaime. He was terrific. The house was appropriately dark setting the mood. Jamie made excellent suggestions with respect to value and quality. We paired our porterhouse with an excellent Argentinian Malbec and the sides were amazing. The porterhouse was properly Reverse-Seated and perfection. My wife was speechless over the flourless Chocolate Bourbon cake. As we finished up the lounge began a very talented piano bar set to close out the evening. This is how a Steakhouse should be. If you know what your doing this is an excellent choice. If you don’t stick to fast food.

I can’t say enough about this reaturaunt. The food was amazing. Best meal we’ve ever had and Jon was the perfect server. We loved every suggestion!

I have only eaten steak here which has been fabulous and this time I went for seafood in the form of Garlic Shrimp and Fresh Oysters. The Garlic Shrimp were quite large and very filling especially if you order sides (I ordered Field Mushrooms and Asparagus). The sauce was buttery and perfectly garlicky and one thing I should have done which I will do for next time is save some of the Cheese Toast to soak up the rest of the sauce because they were very generous with it! Or get a side of potatoes to enjoy the sauce with! I was here on my own and my server John was attentive in just the right amounts and provided the perfect amount of small talk while leaving me to read my book. While I usually come here with my husband, I would definitely come back to Gotham for another solo date as everyone in the restaurant from the hostess to server made me feel at ease. Everyone was so intuitive and the hospitality level is like no other. Thank you for a wonderful night!

We were here about 3 years ago and thoroughly enjoyed everything. This time we brought a couple friends and was very surprised at the cost and portions of the sides. I mean, mashed potatoes for 2 for 15$, when really it was for 1?? I get the cost of living/food, but 15$ for potatoes and the same for broccoli?? Steak was good, our server was fab. I think we won’t be back .

Excellent service, great food, I love my steak and lobster, they serve it in perfect temperature. Great ambience. Highly recommended for a date😊. Definitely we’ll comeback with some friends. Great live music. We enjoyed our dinner. Very will oriented servers.
