After an unusual poor shrimp night a month ago, the high level of food quality returned tonight. The restaurant tried a new shrimp supplier a few weeks ago and the new source was not up to par, but I commend the restaurant for quickly recognizing the problem and fixing it. Tonight’s shrimp were outstanding and plentiful. The other two members of our party ordered redfish and it was also outstanding. Best seafood in the area and they proved it again tonight.

I got 1.5 lbs of snow crab for $45 and it was so much food Def worth it . LOBSTER MAC N CHEESE IS A MUST . We normally order it as our appetizer and all meals come with a large delicious salad for the table Lovely spot , always fresh , clean and lovely service. One of our staple restaurants.

The special was absolutely fabulous. We love this place! I have to say I was disappointed in the Shrimp Cobb salad & the only reason I gave the food and overall 4 stars. The only thing I’ve ever gotten there that hasn’t been right in point. The menu says Jumbo Grilled Shrimp and the shrimp (6 I believe) were medium count at best. The salad was very large and fresh but the shrimp were lost in it :(. Everything else has always been amazing!

Big fan of this restaurant in past, but this visit wasn’t up to par. The fried shrimp was good, but only 1/2 of my shrimp were the normal plump size. The rest were small so overall the portion size was smaller. Same for the roasted potatoes—great dish but about 1/2 the size of last time. The last item is that the 2nd restroom that was out of order 1 month ago is still out of order. Only one working restroom for an 80-100 person restaurant is far from ideal. I’ll give it another try, but this favorite of mine fell short this trip. I hope it is a temporary thing.

Been going to Goin Coastal for years. It has always been an expensive date night...especially if you order drinks. That said, the economy has hit the restaurant industry as well. Had a martini and noticed immediately that the glass was smaller and the price was more. Got our salad...which is a very good salad...and it was smaller and I had to look for hearts of palm...it used to be bigger and peppered with beets, hearts of palm, beans, purple onion and of course lettuce. Had stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer...not that good and way too expensive. Can do better out of the box I think. Had the fried shrimp...awesome. They actually give you a good portion...only thing I would add is having two sides with the main course. We sat in the back room and it was extremely noisy...especially with any kids in that room (which here were). I'd still recommend them...we just won't go as much as we used to.

Thank you for your feedback. Our martini glasses are new and though they may appear smaller we can assure you they are the same ounces and sturdier so that we have less breakage (ie replacement costs). You're not wrong about the hearts of palm they've been out of stock with our supplier so we're sorry you missed them but they are back in house for our salads. You can also let your server know how much you love the toppings and we can make sure you get plenty of the veggies with the lettuce greens. We are also happy to make notes in your reservations that you prefer the front dining room. We hope we will see you back sooner rather than later.

Always consistently good. We’ve been dining there ever since we moved to Canton over 14 years ago. Zach and Josh Kell have created a special dining experience in downtown Canton.
