Gjelina is a restaurant specializing in New American cuisine. Open every day from 8 a.m. until 11pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, try 9 grain pancakes with butter and maple syrup or warm banana buckwheat loaf with butter and jam of the day. Brunch options include Moroccan baked eggs and 7 grain porridge. Gjelina offers a variety of oysters, crudo, charcuterie and salad options to start at lunch and dinner. Main courses include pizzas from our wood fired oven and entrees like duck confit, house made pastas and roasted organic half chicken.

*A 20% Mandatory Service Charge is added to your check. Our belief is that every hourly Gjelina employee contributes to your service and 100% of the MSC will be distributed amongst them.

Ouvert depuis 2008, le Gjelina de Venice propose encore aujourd'hui quelques-uns des meilleurs plats de saison à base de légumes de la ville, sans parler des excellentes pizzas à pâte fine cuites au feu de bois que vous verrez dans toutes les assiettes. Once again an outstanding lunch at Gjelina. I take time to write a review because when a restaurant gets it right consistently, this need to be acknowledged. (We dined at another local restaurant last week and the server forgot our drinks, then got the orders wrong, then gave us attitude, The food was awful and cost twice as much as Gjelina) In contrast, the staff here are upbeat and friendly, cool without being surly, and very attentive. Our server moved us without question from the front section where we were sitting alongside a customer who was very loud (almost shouting :) and out to the back area. The pizza was fantastic and the pork meatballs were cooked just right. A relaxing experience, inventive drinks, and high quality in every way. Thank you Gjelina for being the benchmark.

Fantastic food! Can't get much better. Staff was high minded in the beginning but, now they are nice, competent and friendly.

despite making a reservation, we were not seated in the restaurant. Instead we sat alone on an extremely wobbly, dirty table by the street. Staff seemed to forget we were there and service was painfully slow.

The food is a work of art. Probably one of the most vibey restaurants on the west side. Beautiful space, delicious food. Service could be slightly more attentive, but overall very friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. The grilled peaches and burrata with prosciutto was 10/10.

As always, a perfect experience. Warm, welcoming, knowledgeable staff, tasty dishes, sophisticated without pretension. We did a fun last minute dinner drop-in at the bar earlier in the week, then a back patio Sat night dinner that felt festive and special.

A lovely day at Gjelina. The patio is relaxing and beautiful. Our server, Lance was charming and attentive. We look forward to returning very soon.

Love this place. Prices are insane though. Vegetable dishes $16? Fries $12? Love the ambience, service, and hospitality group but I had to have a meal after my meal. Small and expensive portions were disappointing. Yes, the food is good but costs have skyrocketed me into not eating there for dinner at least anymore.
