Gjelina is a restaurant specializing in New American cuisine. Open every day from 8 a.m. until 11pm, serving breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, try 9 grain pancakes with butter and maple syrup or warm banana buckwheat loaf with butter and jam of the day. Brunch options include Moroccan baked eggs and 7 grain porridge. Gjelina offers a variety of oysters, crudo, charcuterie and salad options to start at lunch and dinner. Main courses include pizzas from our wood fired oven and entrees like duck confit, house made pastas and roasted organic half chicken.

*A 20% Mandatory Service Charge is added to your check. Our belief is that every hourly Gjelina employee contributes to your service and 100% of the MSC will be distributed amongst them.

Gjelina is an interesting experience. The owner's moto seems to be Make it Difficult. Find the place is a guess as there is no signs. Just open the door and look for Gjelina business cards sitting on the front desk to make sure. The lights are so dimmed that unless you are under 40 it's impossible to read the menu. Of course that's supposed to create an intimate ambiance, if you could see who you are talking to. If blaring music does not bother you, you may enjoy a very good dinner. Large communale high top tables are connect to the "bar" at random angles. The menu is very interesting. They start with the side dishes, then appetizers. The size of the salads and the sides are large and good for sharing. The pizzas are excellent but ask for a serrated knife if you want to use one, you will loose the fight with the one at the table. In Winter bring a coat as there is no heater in the restaurant, unless you want to be outside...

We dined on the rooftop which was perfect with our 11 month old. The food was delicious, especially the pasta!

So happy they are now more celiac friendly. I’m enjoying being able to eat there again.

Once again, my Gjelina experience was excellent. Had brunch on Sunday. Me and an old friend split the herbed soft scrambled eggs and the trout salad. The soft scramble was silky and delicious, and the trout salad was great: the bite of the arugula balanced the richness of the Trout. Also: those two items were more enough for two.

First time! Absolutely loved it! Hector took exceptional care of us! He is passionate, extremely knowledgeable about the excellent food and as warm and engaging as can be! We look forward to returning! Thank you!

Delicious food with indifferent and inattentive service. Even after we complained about one person’s food arriving quite a bit after everyone else’s, the server simply responded “I’ll let the kitchen know.” When we complained about the poor service to a different staff member as we paid, they showed no concern about our lackluster experience nor offered an apology and remained stoney-faced as they took 25% off our bill. It’s doubtful we’ll return.

Most mid brunch I’ve possibly ever had. Also not filling do we went to a bakery after too 🫠

The server was very rude. Usually I love the food and the chef is amazing but the server just ruined the experience. Sorry if she is still serving I won’t go back there
