Ceci est l'histoire de Paolo et Matteo, deux amis originaires de Milan qui rêvaient d'ouvrir leur propre restaurant. La prémisse des deux hommes est de combiner les innovations stimulantes de la gastronomie italienne avec les traditions culinaires de leur région. Leur rêve devient réalité. Inspiré par la divinité romaine Janus, qui regardait autant vers le passé que vers l'avenir, Paolo et Matteo ouvrent Giano, un restaurant qui respecte les traditions et embrasse le futur. Arrive Simone Bonelli. Après avoir travaillé 4 ans dans un restaurant étoilé Michelin en Italie, Bonelli s'exporte à New York, où il lui faut six petits mois pour se voir attribuer 2 étoiles par Frank Bruni, critique culinaire pour un petit quotidien dont vous aurez peut-être déjà entendu parler, le New York Times. Aujourd'hui, à titre de chef exécutif et co-propriétaire de Giano, le chef Bonelli allie les techniques les plus sophistiquées à des saveurs magnifiques et à des présentations exceptionnelles. What an excellent experience! Food was great and the service was perfect. Paolo was so kind, welcoming and hilarious. Made the night exactly what we were looking for. We will be back!

My favorite restaurant in the city - came for Valentine’s Day for the second year in a row. The food was incredible as always, the service was spectacular, and the ambiance was cozy and romantic. The servers are all very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. You really can’t go wrong with anything here, cannot recommend it enough!

The place looks a lot prettier on line. The food was not good. The raviolis were dry. They only serve wine and beer. We both had the three course meal and it was terrible.

We an amazing Valentine’s Day dinner at Giano. The food was delicious and the service a delight. We’ll be coming back in the near future!

Lovely neighborhood Italian restaurant! The homemade pastas were fresh and delicious- really nice wine offerings, and the staff friendly and helpful. Romantic atmosphere in the evening.

Sooooo good. The burrata was the special and it was amazing. We also loved all of the pastas, we all got dodgers ones. Also, wait staff was so cool and funny!
