Foods was exceptional, the berry basil lemonade is excellent and the service was spot on had a wonderful time.

From the hostess to our server, the service at Gertrude’s was phenomenal. We went for brunch to celebrate my husband’s birthday, and we were pleasantly surprised with a lovely birthday card from the staff and dessert. It was an appreciated touch that my husband was excited to put the card on the fridge, including the envelope which one of the staff members personally drew a special design on. The food was also delicious. I highly recommend the hot mess breakfast - the sauce was immaculate! If you’re making at stop at the garden, definitely add Gertrude’s to your food stop.

We had a fabulous time. The food was delicious, service wonderful and the setting could not been nicer! We really enjoyed ourselves!

We love Gertrude’s. Farm to table selections set in a backdrop of The botanical gardens. Our server Naomi was such a joy. She effortlessly served us with great suggestions from the menu and allowed us to relax, eat, enjoy our courses and then she would appear to make sure all our drinks were topped off . Wines were so good: thanks Naomi for great suggestions! Dessert was a shared chocolate tart which was yummy. I also love their iced tea:) Our Valentines dinner was awesome. The chef is fantastic. We love Gertrude’s and will definitely itely be back.

We always dine at Gertrude’s when we visit the DBG and we are never disappointed. The food and service are always excellent.

Worst food for the money I've ever had. Salad was plated on a too small rectangular plate piled up so could not get into the salad without making a total mess spreading salad all over the place setting. Salad greens and veggies on top were dry and the 4" long shaved raw root veg's were unwieldy being too big to fork and because the salad couldn't be kept on the plate - I ended up using my FINGERS to deconstruct to try to get any into my mouth. The WORST presentation ever! The rustic soup was unremarkable without enough veg's - mostly broth with hominy. The Gorgonzola/roasted garlic spread was ok but the bread served with it was overly grilled and charred too much to enjoy. Did not enjoy the meal for the price at all. We have eaten at Gertrude's once before and thought the food below par and expensive. Being inside the Garden I also would expect the ambiance to have more "garden" to see but the seating outside was bare of plants and not the experience we were expecting.
